Ive got little bits of pvc pipe in my intake (to connect things etc...)
I found they warp, get smaller and sometimes falls apart Metal intake coming

Good idea with the plumbing pipes I thought of doing it myself. I ended up just cutting most of the first section of intake pipe off, then removing the adapter thing that sits on the air box and put the bolts back in the holes. And then connected two short lengths or this tubing stuff (found it at work) with some silocone hose. All up $10

we use a heat gun at work to bend the PVC we use, and it doesn't take much time or contact before it starts to get soft

If its fouling against something you'll have issues, but with enough clearance, it will be fine. So far I've heard people doing it with no issues, and only people who havn't saying there will be issues

there has to be A plastic pipe that is made of the same material as the stock item!
as the stock one is plastic.. what kind of plastic is it made of? i like what DVL40L has done with his.. a bit more blue in the engine bay and a nice big pipe! and looks like it will probably stand up to a bit of heat/abuse..

ok, so on AUfalcon.com, it says to get the 90mm pipe for between the airbox and intake at the motor, what is the recommended piping to use... I want to have a go at this myself, but after this thread am VERY confused as to what I should use...

Supercheap are now selling bent metal intake piping for like 20-30 bucks per peice. They have 180, 90, and 45 degree bends, and then just plain straight peices...
