Ha ha ha ....... BUSTED!!!

Geez there is some bull on this forum, why do people say they see the new ford when they havent, do they get a buzz out of everyone else thinking it is true, so much that they fool themselves into believeing it too??

That car is way to small to be a Falcon. It looks like an Aurion. And i dont think Toyota hubs fit Falcon wheels.

This thread is worthless without hard evidence!!!!!!!!!!

The one to watch out for this year, in the performance stakes won't be the Aurion, but the 380.....

The new supercharged V6 Aurion is being talked up as being quite the powerhouse and might just surprise alot of 8 owners, stock that is, although I'm sure the tuners over in Nippon will soon put their touch to them.

Isn't the N/A V6 currently pushing more than all the other N/A 6's on the market??

The Melbourne International Motor Show will be pretty good this year with local releases, both the SC version of the Toyota and Mitsubishi's new sports variant should be released at this years show, Mitsu will need this especially if they are to stay viable in Australia.

Totally agree. I want to see Mitsu take the 380 to a level that gives the Ford Turbo a run.... Make it much better for all of us...

It's also pushing that through FWD remember. I'm guessing TRD (does that still exist lol) will be adding the hot bits for the S/C variant

Ye but most companies actually set up their traction control to react more like a launch control, especially in FWD variants, unlike Ford who just set it up to pull sh!te loads of timing and make you fill your pants thinking you have just killed the engine.

We have a rego and plenty of members who could do a surreptitious QV. If the registered owner is Toyota, Ford or whomever then you will have your answer.

Long Haul truckies doing 'middle of nowhere' runs out along the dusty roads would be among the first to see them as most are usually tested out their first to put the suspension through its paces, but i doubt this will start till at least March or April. We might start to see them on the main higways by about August-September and then closer in to the main cities nearer the end of the year possibly even January '08.

And even when they do start testing suspension it might not even be in an Orion shell but rather a BA/BF shell, you should be able to notice it as a mule though. I remember seeing the VY/VZ bodied VE mule with it's twin exhaust and test vehicle dash set up and that was around April-May '06.

I look forward to the Challange :evil3:

I will be interisted to see what they can do actually, if they can get up to the leval of the XR6T then it won't just be Holden pushing Ford to make better cars it will be Toyota and Mitsubishi aswell.

Which is only good for us Falcon Owners.

1st of all the Aurion is 10cm shorter, 45mm narrower and 26mm taller than a BF.
And AU-BF rims fit late model Toyotas (Camrys, Aurions, Avalons, Hiace, 2wd Hilux etc)

To suggest that the original poster parawolf (along time member) called it the Ford while actually knowing it was a Toyota is a unjustified. These forums are to encourage discussion and to share information (right or wrong). Parawolf obviously thought he was sharing something of interest to all of us. No need to shoot him down for having the best intensions. I'm sure he feels bad enough at this stage.

Wasnt my intention to be rude to the original post author, just pointing out how much content on this forum is posted without basis or evidence.

No-one can deny that and I argue that "mate of a mate" stories are useless to anyone, other than Ford HQ who prob put the threads up on a projector as entertainment for Friday arvo drinks.

Highly unlikely the Orion will even venture outside of the proving grounds for a while yet. The earliest builds probably wouldn't even hit the open road, most likely a crash test wall when they have done their job.
