No, shave the foam thinner with a hard-backed razor blade. Or use different foams on different sides of the jamb. Eyeball and measure before buying and sticking.

We all know that we're ripped badly when grocery shopping, but watched a recent US $20 shopping session at a grocery chain in Iran & we'd be lucky to get 1/4 of what they can......products & choices looked good too.

I get your point, but they probably don't have the theft rate which makes shopping more expensive. Bet they don't have millions in retail theft every year. Besides who wants to get hung for stealing an expensive steak or packet of razors.

Today, while polishing the nearside guard of my ute, I had temporarily disconnected the side repeater so I could wax its recessed seat along with rest of the panel.
First the repeater lens came loose from the body. Then the globe’s orange coating disappeared in a puff of air. To round things out, the wiring “tail” then dropped back into the bowels of the guard - from where it took me a few minutes with torch plus clawed pick-up tool to retrieve. |

Got my tax assessment done yesterday. Left that appointment comfortable with a circa $400 return. But, I had to provide the accountant with my employee share plan details as that had not been uploaded into my mygov account. Supplied that to him this morning. Now have a circa $1300 tax debit that I need to fund

Dopey website questionnaires.
“How likely are you to recommend MyPlates to family or friends?” (This after I’ve spent an irritatingly unpalatable figure renewing a hold.) |

I've been asked to provide a review of a rubber o-ring before. I mean, what am I supposed to say about a 0.50c o-ring?

Our new fridge started playing up so had to call Samsung to get it fixed.
They made 7 seperate phone calls to me asking what the fridge was doing plus 5 emails. This was over the course of 2 weeks. Each phone call was from a different person, each claiming to be higher up the ladder and each one asked exactly the same questions. Each one of them spoke very limited English, I was asked to fill in a survey at the end of the process and gave them a very low score with detailed information. I got another phone call back asking why I gave such a low score so naturally I said you've obviously read what I said to justify it. They pleaded with me to change it so I did - I gave them an even lower score. Haven't heard anything since. |

same here re ph...... i now have a samsung S24 ..... what a piece of shiIit i call it my google ph [coz if you swipe right on screen you go to the google page - i prefer a shortcut so i can search/look in on here]. it's not an easy ph to easily do simple tasks.. such as sending a pic/screeenshot to someone ....... there are some 7 steps. 1- select pic/screenshot 2- swipe base of screen left so you get to the more button [shows apps along bottom] 3- select more button 4- get the same basic apps as step 2 5- select messages 6- select person/persons & after selecting person/persons click on next 7- include txt with it if wanted and send............................ old ph was select pic/screenshot - select person/persons - add txt & send. old ph you could ring someone and put it on speaker whilst waiting - new one as soon as you ring someone the screen goes black. if you want it on speaker you then have to hit a side button and then turn on speaker. take a pic or screen shot ....... you get a notification that you took a pic or screen shot .. even when you delete the pic or screen shot [normally i send & delete]. and you get ad notifications?? there were a coupla more things that annoyed the CRAP outa me ..... but i found out how to turn them off [eventually] .... dammn phones |

Speaking of whitegoods ranting, I discovered another foot-dent on my ute. At a guess, young louts playing that game of running up and over cars, this one is on the roof. Not impressed.

How annoying...maybe a badly kicked football or similar rather than the thought of some little shit literally running on top of your car?

Geez! I hate that! When some muppet does this to me 1st thing Friday morning. **Please note** https://we.tl/t-y25Z2ZS9Mk?utm_campa...trk=TRN_TDL_09 The back story.. Was driving a 14 pallet HR truck carrying 14 pallets... around 8 tonnes. It's a 50 km/h street and when I pulled out, he was 400 metres away to my left. After I turned right, I hear an angry horn blaring behind me. Me thinks he wasn't doing 50... Didn't tag him but wanted to. What a dumb ***... thinking he will win that argument.. I ended up stopping and having words with him.. The 1st thing he said to me was "where did you get your license"? I said, "the same place you did, only I passed". He starts ranting and raving.. cursing etc.. I said keep talking, your on 2 separate dash cams, I slap the drivers door of the truck and say "if you have a problem, call the boss" Fricken muppet. Then drove off.. wondering what was going to happen next. There was no next. Sucks to be him...

Had a tour bus cut me off in an overtaking lane when I was towing my caravan while back, sent the dash cam video to the bus company with a very angry email stating I was in two minds forwarding the video to the police, in which I was assured their driver was to be reprimanded in the reply email I received, I won't tolerate driver stupidity. Cheers. |

Well, for the past couple days i had gone back and forth with my son and planned today for he and I to do stuff. As per what she does, my ex wife texts me and cancels it. Reasons unknown. So my not so little unit was going back and forth with me today and yeah, he was not entirely in a happy state. Then the audacity... his mum texts me to say he is upset.
Anyhows, my boy works at maccas. Is that cooking? No. I did work at a comercial bakery for a bit when i was younger, was that baking? No. It was more or less factory work. Righto, so a bit of back story, i asked my son if he could cook. Answer was no. Second question was has he ever tried? Answer was no, not allowed to. So planned for today was he can have whatever he wants for lunch, provided he cooks it. So i would teach through using words but he has to do it. Its the best way i know to teach, watching someone do something is why so many people stuff things up, as in they seen it on the interwebs. Is cooking hard, no. By that i mean basic edible food. Is cooking good hard? Yes. Yes it is. My late dad was an industrial chemist by trade and not bad in the kitchen, but everything was a formula. As in no change, very consistant, if you asked for a change, long answer was no. But enough of my debbie downer rant, just was keen to teach basic life skills. |

Mrs. bought a packet of Don Honey leg Ham.
On the back it's says "Made in Australia from at least 20% Australian ingredients". There is only sliced ham in the packet, so what is the 20% Australian product? Can't find where the meat product comes from on line either.

A possum really went to town on the roof of the AU last night. How much can one possum bladder hold? Enough to cover a sedan, roof, each side and good window coverage. Thick, sticky, straight to the carwash first chance I got. Didnt went to get in the thing...so gross. Yeah, I hated that.
