I'm looking to work 5 days from 6 to 2 for the last 6 to 8 months before I retire just to get my body clock back in to some type of normal rhythm, I doubt this will really happen.

Enjoy your days off, I have certainly appreciated having long week-ends all this time.

All opinions aside. I went to repco today to buy a radiator hose as i used my spare to rad hose yesterday. They had a proper parts interpreter. So when i said top rad hose for a bf fairmont, he says he has to ask the obligatory question, whats your rego. Then he goes this is wrong, no such thing as an fg fairmont. My car is an 08. Anyhows, they didnt have the top rad hose in stock, only the full coolant hose kit but the legend broke the kit open and sold me just the hose i was after. It really does beat supercheap when there is a kid not old enough to get their L plates playing parts interpreter.

Now go back and see if they’ll sell you an incomplete kit - one hose missing - at a substantial discount.

Well, fun story, but the bloke said the rest will be put on the shelf. As in they all have part numbers and bar codes so i reckon it will be ok for the business.

CB, its repco castle hill if you are after a b series coolant hose kit missing the top rad hose.

Finally getting the sea doo ready to hit the water. Put the battery in, cranked it over a few tones, and away she went. Not bad for a 29 year old two-stroke based pwc.

Hope she runs just as smooth on the water tomoz.

I still have two days of mowing clients to serve on Sunday and Monday, but today was the last day before two weeks leave from my main job.

We have been short staffed since December 27th, with several on leave including one who managed to snare a month off. Friday and last Saturday was only two on duty, so I basically worked 8 hours without a break to keep the ball rolling on those two days. I fell out of bed this morning and basically watched the clock all day.

Annoyingly, the boss decided he wanted his new car detailed and protected, and the old one cleaned up for sale. And I say decided, because it was basically a demand rather than a request. I would have preferred to have had nothing to do with them for two weeks in an attempt to recharge. If I don't do it next week, I won't fit it in any time soon. I guess that's all I'm good for.

That lack of consideration seems to be ingrained with your employer. I hope you can deflect them somehow and have a fortnight that’s more on your own terms.

I had to laugh when i was in woolies today. A lady was having an argument with her granddaughter because she got cage eggs not free range. The little girl would have been about 8 or 9 but was stuck hard on the ethics of eggs. The ladys argument was eggs are just eggs. I shouldnt find humour in that, but i do.

I'd remind her who's paying, unless she wants to pay the difference with her pocket money.

Should have got the Range Eggs. They’re the ones which say “Free” on the packet, so I guess they’re best value.

Not good per se, but gave me a chuckle. And not today but yesterday.

Saw a clown riding his bike, no helmet. Injured arm in a sling, holding a mobile phone to his head whilst riding.

Wonder how he ended up with the injured arm? Wonder if he's thought about how he ended up with the injured arm?

going past knobs like that, giving them plenty of room etc abiding by the rules apart from a decent blast from your air horns always creates some reaction

Epic drive (not a patch on Kypez’ efforts though), pizza for dinner, a walk in parkland and then finding the big cans of V are marked down at Woolies. Cars, nature, junk food - what a combination.

Finally getting our Swim Spa delivered... Made today a damn great day...

We decided on one late october last year (7 meter Duo with the spa/swim part separate). Got a killer deal on the display one but needed to be ready. Trying to find a concreter who would actually answer the phone/reply to me AND not ghost me when trying to get a quote. Havent dealt with a worst trade in a long time. That was stressful, and finally managed to get one organise for start of december with spa being booked for delivery xmas week as a surprise for my son.

Concreter pushes it back 2 weeks at the last minute, totally screwing the pre xmas delivery and then rocks up and does a **** poor job of it but good enough so left it be. THEN to add more BS, the transport company who the spa place had reccomended (as they had delivered this spa to their showroom originally) and then quoted me decided they now couldnt handle the thing and backed out... Finally managed to find another crane/transport company (for only $500 more) and had the damn thing delivered today....

The experience was crap, but seeing it dropped on the slab and how damn excited my 9year old was when he saw it made me feel great, and made it all worthwhile...
