Guess you can't please everyone. Keen on seeing the XT/G6E models, but IMHO the XR models have been bland since BF. The new XR8 looks quite appealing though.
Don't take Facebook too seriously. It's full of idiots, trolls and a few sensible people. Unfortunately the car manufacturers and sports teams all attract a certain type of fool to their respective Facebook pages.

Especially since Holden export them to the US and you still can't get em here so I doubt Ford would even bother.

The best fix for that is to get a manual

This looks bloody awesome, the pic of the XR8 gave me an instant boner, I feel the need to own it immediately and that's a sign of a good design.

The XR6 is a little understated, but it's very sleek and I'm sure in a different angle and colour it will also look great.

I can't remember a single time in the past where I've initially liked a facelift model. I think I still prefer the look of my FG F6, but if I didn't own that I'd have already put an order in for the XR8!

I hope they give the XR8 good seats and a decent brake upgrade option.

If Ford make a XR8 ute I will be throwing my money at the dealer. Love the new look I knew it would be worth the wait.

I have given myself 24 hours to take in the CGIs of new the XR8 and XR6 and I really wanted to like them but I am just one the fence about both of them. The XR6 looks bland and the colour of the XR8 is not to my liking. The gold reminds me of the puke yellow Holden had as their hero colour when the VX was released.

Have Ford just shot them selves in the foot by releasing yet another set of underwhelming CGIs or is this all part of the grant plan for the final Falcon?

I look forward to the real pictures, but thus far I must say the CGIs are underwhelming at best.

I don't have photoshop, but i had a go at a 'very rough' edit in windows paint on the xr8 (without the buldge) to replicate an xr6...as the original xr6 cgi looks abit out of proportion/loss of aggression etc...

I saw on FB a lot of Americans saying how great it looks and they are all wishing for a V8 RWD like that,(even though they have Mustang??) and wondered why "WE" got (from Ford) great muscle cars like that, and why Ford didn't sell them there like the Commonhore is??

very nice, but the FG mk2 XR looks more aggressive. New one looks different, but no better. It seems good looks aren't much of a selling point, so it's hard to see how sales will improve. Both the FG mk2 and FH look great! Let's hope the FH is a well-rounded, up to date package that won't lag behind competitors.

Have to see it in the flesh, but looks very conservative to me. Still think the best looking Falcon of all time will be the FG G6E Turbo

But they don't have a V8 sedan available. Stiff bikkies if you want a V8 in a Ford sedan over there. "Oh but but you can buy a Toreass!!1" Whatevs. Still aint a V8.

I was really disappointed when FG was released, took me more than 4 years to warm to it. Now I think it's one of Ford's most beautiful designs.

Yep I can see it.

It's got a windscreen, 2 side mirrors, headlights and fog lights, a bonnet, a grill and it's a bit hard to pick from that angle but I recon it has 4 wheels, seats and a steering wheel. How did I go??
