Could be anodized aluminium, inner surround is SS. Newer models didn't have the surround at all just fibreglass imprinted with FORD.
Don't really notice it from a distance, just looks like Godzilla had a munch.

The latest update to Microsoft Word.
While some functions are helpful, I hate how it assumes the user is illiterate dumb ***! I have a functioning brain, I know how to read and write, I don't need the stupid Copilot AI system to write for me, otherwise, what's the point.

Went out this morning to put some more rubbish in my bin for collection today, someone decided to overflow my bin with theirs....geez I hate that!
On a side note, the security cameras sensitivity will be adjusted to catch the culprit, then the fun will begin. |

I've had the opposite, a neighbor going through my rubbish to collect aluminum cans for her grandson to cash in at the container deposit scheme. I mean, I have nothing to hide, but that doesn't sit well with me. I've taken to putting them in a bag and leaving them at her gate.

Saw a bloke this morning crossing Spencer st with 3 huge bags of cans and bottles, probably about $300-400 worth.
Should be worth the effort. |

My late-night whip cracking neighbor that has taunted and trained his vicious dog to bark at everything that moves past the front fence. At all hours of the day and night. The thing has also bitten a delivery driver and a young child, whose mother decked the guy after he suggested that they shouldn't have been walking on "his footpath".
The guy is a complete fu.k witt. He called the police on a gentleman who walks down this street every day, apparently he isn't allowed to walk on "his footpath" because it upsets the dog. He was also thrown out of two gun clubs because he would turn up and start firing without following the guidelines. The fact he owns guns is deeply concerning. He has burnt down his large shed three times now, usually late at night while loaded with grappa and wielding an oxygen acetylene torch. Funny how he ends up with a new car or motorbike afterwards. To mark the arrival of the pointless Spring Car Nats, he would celebrate by doing burnouts in his driveway on the motorbike or some shitty old Valiant. Well, I guess that stopped when he burnt the garage and those vehicles to the ground. The previously mentioned late night grappa-fueled whip cracking sessions are extremely annoying, as is playing loud music in the shed till the small hours. According to him, the above complaints are not valid and that people are just picking on him. Well, apparently, he is leaving soon because we are all bastards in this street. No doubt we will have a going away party in his honor, except he won't be invited.

The lady across the road from him, who has now left, was always calling the police on him. I think it gets the point where the police just ignore it because they just see it as a tit for tat neighborly feud.

A work van in the next lane was brake-checked by a Model Y, he swerved to avoid it and cleaned up the side of my ute.

Tesla drivers....a new crop.
I passed one in a 60 zone the other evening. Didnt like being passed, slingshotted back ahead and then moved in front of me only to slow back down. I changed lanes to go back passed and he hit the batteryboost and flew off into the distance. And then braked again, so I caught back up. As soon as I got close, off he went again, ptobably doing more than twice the limit each time this happened. Driving like he has always owned a 4cyl slug and today mum let him drive her new car. Well done dragging off the AU, sure showed me 😄 |

It’s a shame he didn’t note the Tesla’s plate. On the other hand he was obviously too close, and geez I hate that when drivers in white vans tailgate in peak hour traffic. Both of those drivers deserved a bingle, but you’re the innocent bystander who copped it. Hopefully you got all his details and made your insurance claim.

He started by merging from the lane I was in, to an adjacent one. Had good space ahead and behind. I was watching somewhat because the van effectively blocked quite a bit of my overall view of the traffic flow, and I was moderating my progress accordingly.
As the van got to about 1/3 into the next lane, Tesla Bro raced up from behind and positioned his nose adjacent to the van’s rear quarter, effectively threatening contact - Tesla was nearly into the next lane across with this aggressive manoeuvre. Van driver backed out of merging to avoid a collision, and let the Tesla past. There was a decent gap again a few seconds later and the van driver pulled in normally behind Tesla. Traffic was slowing as it condensed for lights, and the Tesla quite suddenly braked to a dead stop. There might have been autonomous input with respect to this braking event, but the first interaction was absolutely choice by the Model Y to aggressively intercept an otherwise safe move. Epping Rd northbound at Macquarie Park; it’s up there with the worst roads for cut-throat traffic in Sydney, along with Anzac Br westbound in the evenings, some of the signalised westbound M4 on-ramps, Centenary Dr southbound off-ramp for the Hume and Oxford St inbound in the mornings. |

I have found with snobby entitled Tesla drivers that wont let you merge, you just have to merge regardless, their autonomous braking takes over and lets you in

Been out and about doing stuff all day. Mid to high 30s today. Final stop was the weekly shop at colesworths. Cars parked outside in the sun because the whole place was packed and black seats, who doesn't love a sweaty back. Put me shopping in the car go to start it, 1 turn. Try again, 2 turns, 3rd try ½ a turn. Crap on a stick. Go back into the shopping centre for a bit of ac whilst i call the nrma. Well, turns out you dont get a person, you get the press 1 for this, 4 for that etc. Then it texts me saying 89 minutes and a tracking link. Well 3 minutes later the tracking link got working and it said 15 minutes then instantly 13 minutes and 5 minutes later the nrma bloke asks where the car is, atleast that was pretty simple, pull into the car park, 2nd aisle on the right and its parked on the left.
He puts the jump pack on, and 1 turn. I was in my mind a bit disappointed as the starter motor is only 14 months old, but the nrma guy then says 'I've been using this pack all day', then grabs the other. Yep started straight up. He did offer to orginise a battery replacement but my main focus was getting my fridgables into the fridge as as we all know you get not much from any supermarket for $100. Checked the car a few minutes ago as the day has cooled off and it started fine. If its no good tomorrow ill source a new battery then. |

I'll be working my first Monday this year on the 23rd. I'm on availability and see no sense in taking a day off just to be tied to the phone.
Will be a shock to the system!
