Nice, but not THAT nice
It's a 1 of 1 build and in Facebook land that makes it worth every cent.

Geepers!

Very nicely presented example in a beautiful colour, but at that price I would be expect much lower km's than that. Although, it is a V8!!

So I went shopping for a Sprint 6............

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...-4125570/?Cr=4

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...20058313/?Cr=6

I would love one, but now that these, and other desirable Falcon's are becoming so expensive that it has me wondering if I would rather spend that sort of cash on this...............

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...-7442182/?Cr=4

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...20477881/?Cr=7

I LOVE Falcon's with all my heart, but they are, and never have been a $100,000+ car. Having driven a few F-Types, they walk all over every single Falcon ever made so at those prices, they are merely a sentimental purchase. And I say that as someone who has two Falcon's for that very reason.............difference being I did not pay $100k for them.

100% agree.

While I am at the lower end of the Falcon tree (AU Falcons) the prices are making these undesirable to me. Sure, they are desirable to someone as 'someone' is still buying them.

I have been looking at adding to my small collection for the last 12 months but I refuse to pay these ridiculous prices.

To add to that, fuel prices are around $2.10 for 98 in my area today.

It has got to the point where not only am I thinking of looking at moving my interests away from Falcons, but moving my interests away from cars altogether.

“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Same here, about to have no licence for 12 months was a pretty good shove in the back to make it happen a bit faster

I'm considering exiting the industry all together so I'm not surrounded by it at work as well, its difficult when in your 'professional life' having this experience and interest is the thing that sets you apart from the others, I virtually live in constant exposure to modified cars and the industry.

Now that was a jaw dropper, WOW!

I was looking to see if there were any remaining new Commodores - still one or two left, and then I saw a bunch of VF Commodores ranging from $100k through to $160k. All 2017 Motorsport editions with minimal kays, WOW! World has gone truly mad.

Once they picked up popularity in the USA it was game over the moment those cars turn 25 and become eligible for import into the USA and can be driven RHD. Particularly R32/R33/R34 GTR.

I feel that those generations of GTR have much more soul than the R35 GTR.

The R35 went down the path of taking away the raw experience of driving a performance car.

I totally agree. I mean i admire the 35 GTR, but a 32 GTR is my dream Jap car.

Funny story, an ex of many years ago worked at a pharmacist.
The actual pharmacist had a 32 GTR and drove it around his farm rounding up cattle (seen it with my own eyes) i guess back then it didnt appeal too much to me but i knew what it was though

I'd never considered this before but forgetting the general **** going on in the used car market at the moment. The US is a huge market and also the grades of imports are a factor too now I have done a bit of dive into it

The Aussie market sucked up a lot of these really good grades for a long time.

When I got off my Ps in 2014, R33 GTR V spec was $25,000-$30,000 for a mint one.

A mate had a Midnight Purple R33 GTR with White TE37's in 2007. Ended up selling it for $35k back then. it was replaced by an R34 GTR in Midnight Purple 3 a few years later. Ended up costing him less than $50k imported and on the road (mint, low km, non V-Spec hard to find colour). He still owns it, rarely drives it but has been offered insane $$$. Best investment he ever made he reckons... He had been putting together parts to turn it into a 1200HP monster but with the values is probably going to leave it be for the moment...

Ive got an ex client who has a mint 15k km Australian Delivered R32 GTR who, apparently, was offered $500k for it.. Again, back in the day an R32 GTR was in the $20k range...

Supra's are in a similar boat, and I see Evo lancer owners trying to get into it now as well...

I remember when I was looking for my car I could buy a MY03 WRX or a R34 GTS-T for roughly $25-30k.

I ended up buying a clean WRX for $27k and still have it but I think a R34 GT-R was going about $50-60k at the time which was 2006.

I have put off replacing the 1989 Ford trader I use for work because of the increased cost of second hand vehicles.

A week ago I was pushing it a bit hard on the freeway, fully loaded and over due for a service. I took the top off a piston I think The truck got me the 12kms home on 3 cylinders, just.

So went out last week and bought a brand new vehicle, just could not justify the price of a second hand vehicle in the current climate. In the 32 years between the production of my 1989 Ford trader and the 2021 plate Isuzu Dmax that replaced it, many improvements have been made in vehicle manufacture!

So that left a rusty truck with a blown engine and 375000kms on the clock blocking my driveway. I sent a message to 9 local wreakers to see if there was any interest. Everyone got back to me, some wanted to know what I wanted for it, others offered to beat any price I was offered.

I ran a little auction between them, when the bidding got silly +$1.00 I closed the bidding and told them at 9.00am the next day everyone gets one last bid and the best offer takes it. My truck, my rules.

I got $3500 cash the next day. The guy that bought it was happy despite the amount of rust in the cab, you can see the road through the drivers floor! He told me he was going to paint the cab, put another engine in it and export my old truck to Pakistan!

A mate is winding me up that the truck is going to the Taliban.

We are going to see it on the news with a machine gun and rocket launcher on the back.

My business name and phone number are still sign written down the side!

Sold my Sprint 6 late last year for a very good price. Would I buy another one? No.....

I've always dreamed of owning a T3 but just hasn't been the right time over the past 5-10 years.

Now, sadly, I reckon my time to get one has passed.

Sucks.. but at least I have my EL, I guess

Never too late, i have only had mine since last year. There are approximately 7 advertised at the moment between TE's and TS's ranging from series 1 to series 3. I think they are still good value at around $50k+ depending on kms etc. Both T3 TE's are under $45k one auto one manual, car sales and just muscle cars.

I am looking for a TE T3 to pair up the TS T3 and hoping the right one comes along.
