You can really see the budget limitations with the XR and G series having the same bumper, just different inserts.
They do both look good though, will look even better in real life.

Then why are they releasing them? There's no second chance at a first impression. I know everyone is baying for pics. But wait another week and do it properly. Once someone's stood around the water cooler sprouting how they don't like the new falcon. It's a long way back from there.

Are those FPV 5th anniversary rims on the g6?
How does everyone feel about XR and G series sharing the same front bumper and headlights (albeit with different inserts on the lights and bumpers)? For me, somewhat disappointing...XR and Fairmont haven't shared (the exact same) bumper skin and headlight shape since EB2. What is great is that this Falcon got off the ground at all. XR8 and G6ET are/will be the best picks IMO. |

Nah pretty sure they're carry overs of the current G6E wheel

I cant beleive how underwhelming the Territory is. I was hoping for something just a bit more. obviously no budget to work with.

Also looking at the top of the windscreen it looks like the dark spot is where there rear view mirror mount is glued to the windscreen from inside. So potentially no rain sensing wipers either. Or maybe its is not a Titanium Territory? Anyway I have seen enough to know that I will not be waiting for the release for the Falcon or Territory to replace the FG. Quote:
I am putting my money on same bumpers on all models with different fog lights and grilles etc.

5th Anniversary wheels were 19 inch. The ones in the CGI look much like the current 18 inch in the G6E NA |

The only thing I hate about ford is the lack of new wheel designs over the years.
The dark side always had us covered in that area |

Pity they won't sell an XR8 (which is clearly the looker of the lot) with an F6 310 motor.

Gee this is really a cheap update from ford, so every front bumper from xt to xr8 will be exactly the same, only the led lights and grill inserts are different.

Little bit of Photoshop, I couldn't decide on wheels for it, even if it was just a V8 G6E I would love one like this.
(The LTD is back... but only for a LimiTeD time) Come on bring it back Ford.... You know you want to. |

Is this what people said in the 60s, 70s and 80s?

I was more referring to the cars back then having the same bumpers right throughout the lineup and it was never a problem. TBH I didn't notice the new ones had the same bumper until it was pointed out.

G6E feels underwhelming to me. Hope to see better wheels on the G6ET though, but IMHO the original G6ET with 19s was a classic design which even the MkII FG couldn't compete with.
