What's the general consensus with the new Falcon? Do you guys like the new look?

Personally I think they went backwards... The FG was a great looking car, possibly the best looking modern Falcon. The new Falcon... just doesn't look right, at all.

My 2 cents of course.

I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure the XT had its own bumper from what I remember of spy and pic...?

Too early to say for sure, but I generally agree. The gtf is the best of the best looking modern falcon in my opinion. It would've been great to see a GT in the new model, some of the chops have looked awesome.

I'll need to see the new car in the flesh before I say all this for sure, the cgi can be deceptive.

So far, the BA falcon and SX territory will remain king as far as visual impact and wow factor for a new model/makeover Australia has ever seen. Maybe its because of how far BA left its predecessor behind in every single area: style, performance, comfort. FG was a solid base that's hard to leave behind in the dust, although leaning too much on the conservative side.. If I don't like the final Falcon, I guess the front and rear bodywork could bolt on to an FG and the previous powerhouse drivetrains (F6 and Boss 335 if xr8 is a detuned coyote) can be enjoyed with the new look...

For the last falcon to really make an impression: styling finesse of a Jag XF, 0-100 in 3.5 (5 seconds was terrific in 2008 and 6 seconds was groundbreaking in 2002). Guess we can wait and see but won't hold my breath

I like the new look and how they have incorporated the DRL's into the headlights instead of having them hanging out like on the Holden/HSV. I've never really liked fords CGI's of any model in the past. The cars tend to look 100 times better in the flesh. Still waiting to see the rear end and the interior...hopefully the interior is at least different enough to the FG to give the impression you are driving a new model.

Im pretty sure the G6E picture is lacking the chrome window surrounds. These are computer renderings, surely. The real G6E should look better in the flesh.

Wish the ride height was like that stock, but would cause a world of problems. Any chance for a more realistic approach to raise the car height to standard?

I noticed that too, thought they may now only have the chrome window trim on the G6ET.

True, but Ford really need to release photos of the car in the metal, not CGIs.

And I don't for a second buy the whole it's cheaper to present CGIs than it is to get a photographer in.
