That granada is a poor imitation of the Mercedes rear.

The XD falcon is more simplistic and tougher looking. Falcon rear is generally simplistic and unsophisticated (AU was a departure and EF/EL with the jewel effect lights).

Half Mondeo, half Aurion. Nothing like a Jag or Aston Martin. Oh dear, what have they done? Hope this is just a poor photoshop!!! Well judging by the panelwork, an FG rear bar, lights and bootlid may be a possible downgrade path

Added some tips and a black lower bumper. Now she's looking meaner.

Would look better without a badge I think.

Will reserve my judgment till I see better pictures or in real life.

Add a spoiler, remove or colour code the rear strip between the lights and remove the G6E badge....

Yes ..... they both have 2 lights. One on the right and one on the left with the number plate in the middle.

If anything, it is a little bit AUDI with some XF Jag thrown in ...... but it looks different enough, and I like it anyway.

Don't know about the twin tips, but the black lower bumper insert just made the whole rear look a hell of a lot nicer.

And I agree with others, the G6E badge looks wrong somehow.

I agree. How anyone can say it's ugly is beyond me. Looks brilliant. I can't wait 4 more photos to come out so people can eat their words.

Not the lights specifically, the wideness as it gets lower, like this: http://images.thecarconnection.com/l...00352971_l.jpg

I think its just the angle the Falcon photo was taken at. I don't mind it. If anything, I wish they'd done something a bit more upmarket for the front to go with the back.

I don't like cars with a big upper grille and also lower. It looks too busy/confused. I wish they'd done something more like Audi... one single big grill top to bottom.

It's called "Tumblehome" and is a common design trait on a lot of modern cars.

Removed G6E badge, darkened lights slightly (Ford's official tail light preview looked darker, I'm assuming XRs will get them) and changed the chrome bar to black. Ford needs to release some official photos asap, I think there is greatness in this rear end, we're just not seeing it in the lousy spy photo.

Nikked, your metallic cherry red xr8 in photo bucket album isthe best pic to date. The car in this colour looks damn fine, reminds me of when series 2 el xr8 came out in this colour... I fell in love.

Love your work mate, ford should drop this cherry red colour from the focus range into the new falcon
