We hear and see a flock of kookas every day in the large gums around our place.

Yeah very common in our yard too.
I was watching one perched on the back fence yesterday.
He'd been singing there for a while already.

We tend to have less around us but have its smaller cousin the Azure Kingfishers who love to nest in the river reds.
