A good ole Wash n' Wax. Some grease on the clutch pedal components. Looking forward to changing the fuel filter, may be next week.

Got a trans-service and put in a cooler, mostly for the peace of mind of keeping the car running well.
Had no idea how fast and smooth the gear-shifts are supposed to be, it's like driving a different car after getting the old fluid out of it . |

Got a high-low converter fitted so I can fit up my sub and amp from my old Falcon. Still set up for when I had a sedan so it's super loud in the ute, lol. Next step is to swap out them ****** factory speakers.

Just the 4sp. The car's almost at 110k kms and I don't think it had ever been done before. Yep, full flush.
Not sure exactly what it cost, had a bunch of other things done at the same time. Think it was quoted at about $200, pretty sure a service on a ZF is quite a lot higher though... |

Plasti dipped in black with a bit of silver glitter the territory ghia turbo intake scoop shroud. Looks great against the "lightning strike silver".

Put a new leather console lid on to my BA XR6. Looks much neater than the crappy vinyl one.

The alternator died in the el today leaving me stranded and getting a Racq tow home. Lpg went, flicked to petrol, dash went, then it died all within about 2klm. Grr. Got home checked gumtree and found a month old alternator for $80 within 5mins from home. Yay. Swapped it out, gave it a new rad hose as it looked like it would pop soon and fitted my new serpentine belt that has been in the boot for over 12 months. (Can't rush these things)
Hopefully have a win when the batt is charged up tomorrow

bought a few parts that should rock up next week hopefully.
got some superpro diff bushes cause mine have been bad for a fair while and are getting even worse lately so they'll get put in when it goes in for its next service... that's gonna be a costly one :/ got a new door lock actuator after mine died about 2 weeks ago so I'll chuck that in as soon as it arrives. and bought a DJR spoiler anyone know if the wiring for the parcel shelf brake light should be in there in the XR8? I decided to buy the spoiler without the light cause i couldn't justify an extra $120 for the light

Spent all day rebuilding the crapulous plastic light and cruise control switch with the best bits of 4 other switch assemblies in my son's ZL Fairlane.
After 25 years in the sun the plastic in them turns into something resembling liquorish, but not as strong.

I finally started working on my baby. Put in a new clutch changed the trans oil replaced engine oil + filter and spark plugs as well. I think it needs a new fuel filter as well as there is no power when I put the foot down.

. Then spent the rest of the day looking at mods.

Fitted a new bonnet release lever & cable to my BA ute, in doing so I had to remove the plastic inner guard from the drivers side, which revealed a large rust hole under the battery. It is a pain that the BA's aren't like the earlier falcons with bolt in battery supports, A bit of grinding welding and metal fabrication & I have it sorted. Time spent fixing crap on the ute is time I should be spending working on the coupe, but you get that.
