It would be a pretty cool job to come up with the paint designs for Hot Wheels. I wonder if anyone would consider painting their car to suit a Hot Wheels design? Because Some of them - are pretty damn impressive.

If you saw this at a real car show - it would turn your head.

Started doing the new year shed clean out. Came across a couple of old hotwheels and matchbox cars.
Sorry the pictures are a bit blurry, its hard to focus on the small cars.

This pick up with the old GoodYear rubber tyres.

A couple of Hotwheels Thunderbirds.

Here's an old Matchbox Mustang Fastback with turning front wheels from a lever on the side

There's been a scoop glued onto this one, but it can come off easily enough.

And these ones are hard to come by now too.

I've only managed to find one of those so far...stumbled across it in a supermarket.

I'm still trying to track down the Mars rover ("Curiosity")...they're hard to find.

I remember the purple dragster and steerable Mustang at some time in my childhood.

I finished last year with 8 supers, 2 are doubles and 13 reg treasure hunts. I've already found 2 x 2013 reg hunts, pigs, birds, mystery machines and some really nice looking models. I'll post a pic later today.

The good thing is that old stuff from Dinki, Matchbox, and others have a small spare parts industry where you can pick up "rebuild parts" from Ebay. I'm currently planning out a restoration of my original 1970's Batmobile and Lady Penelopes FAB1 from the Thunderbirds. Most of the parts...windscreens, wheels, tyres, interior parts, etc...is easily and relatively cheaply available.

Holy cow!
There's alot of AWSOME collections here!!

I only wish I could post up some pics.. I'm having all sorts of grief posting photos.. have made enquiries and its due to our computer & software being too old.

I have been collecting Hot Wheels and some others (Matchbox,Corgi ,Tomica etc.)since my younger years as well. Have a healthy collection that is now packed away in large T.V boxes as we moved. It's amazing what you come across when packing to move...

Have found a few from back in the 70's manufactured by a company called "Zylmex". Does anyone else have some of these? They look like Hot Wheels knock offs.. Maybe thats why they vanished from the shelves...

Recent additions to the Hot Wheels collection are:

KITT from the 80's series of Knight Rider. (2012 HW preniere 17/50)

XB Falcon Coupe in red with black side striping. (120/247)

F.G. Falcon sedan white / blue stripes and ford oval on sides in V8 supercar type guise.(2012 HW premiere 4/50)

Black Chevy El Camino ute "Mad Max" style (HW Stunt series, 49/247)

And last but not least, my wife got me the "Angry Bird" Hot Wheels car for Chrissie! SCORE!!

Please post more pics, want to see more awsome collections!!

Shane.
