Hi, my names Rod and I live on the central coast of nsw. Have had numerous Fords started with a rare factory ordered XF Fairmont Ghia ute 4.1 EFI, then went to a EB2 Fairmont Ghia 4.0, after that had had enough of the rsl cars and traded her in on an EL XR6 Manual and finally to my current ride which is a 01 AU3 XR8220 Manual in monsoon blue with all the fruit. Factory Rebel body kit, Momo wheel and gearknob, 2.5 inch twin cat back stainless mandrel exhaust, cold air intake, au/ba boss hybrid bonnet with DJR bulge decals and 19in speedy cheetah rims with chrome lip. Will eventually post up some pics. And the best thing about them is that sound you get when you press on that loud pedal!!!!

Hey guys,
just wanted to introduce myself and too say hello. My names dave, im 20 years old and looking into buying my first aussie supercar! I must admit im a red-blooded holden fan, have been since day dot, but am currently in love with some of Ford and FPV's products. I currently own a VE SV6 which has been touched more than a.. anyway. Favourite fords are that of BA XR8, BF XR6 Turbo, Current FPV F6 phoon but most importantly went to the melbourne motor show today and had a good chat to one of the ford sales blokes discussing the new FG phoon.. Im in love with it and will more than likely stroll me over to FPV in the near future.. was comparing against a VE Clubby, Audi TT and a BMW 135i Turbo coupe.. In all aspects i think the ford wins hands down.. whilst i admit i dont like the GT series the XRs and phoons ill always have a soft spot for!! Sorry for rambling just thought id get it out there... Btw for all you ford buffs out there, how hard is it and what kind of $$ are you looking at to get some 'fun' power out of the new phoon? at 300kw stock its almost there but ive heard that they can reach some insane figures at a reasonably low costs.. The whole turbo idea is new to me but something i want to understand and get into Anyway, hope i didnt come across as pompus or talking just want your opinions! Cheers guys, Dave : |

Gday Mate,
Welcome to the forums. Yeah the Turbo's are relitivly cost effective to get some real power outta them, im not big on the pricings and specs but im sure just with a dual 2.5" exhaust, tune, injectors would get you some big numbers. Then on top of that you can get bigger intercoolers, better valve springs, air mods, you would be easly able to get about 300rwkw+. Take a visit to 'Performance' under 'ford passanger cars' and im sure you will find heaps of info. EDIT This is with the xr6t im talking about, if you were to get an F6 it would be muuuuch more! |

It's not easy admitting you are in love with the blue when you claim your blood is crimson, never the less that and the fact you listed the most commonly used ford vehicles for performance leaves me a little uneasy.
With that, welcome to the forums, please be advised that persuant to your registration here you agree'd in whole heart and full financial liabiliy, to supply the Ice, Custard and the Donkey, WE will supply the rope and the rubber chicken. I'm sure you'll understand as all is laid out in your membership disclosure statement. If you haven't recieved your MDS please feel free to contact us between 09:00 and 09:05 AEST where we will be more than happy to deal with your enquiry. Thankyou and have a nice day. |

Hi all,
My name is Melanie and I drive a MANUAL 2005 BA MkII XR8....in vixon red. The XR8 is a dream car of mine.....but I have now set myself a task, and unfortunately, once my task has been completed, my baby will be up for sale. I have made the decision that I need a project of some kind. In the end I decided the project that really sounded interesting to me is doing up a old car. So I am now on the hunt for a XC Falcon to do up....so that's how I found my way here. A. to see if can find my "project car" here, and; B. to get tips and/or advise if I need them during the project. |

hi guys, my name is Matt
Ive owned a fair few fords over the years, mostly brand new as company cars (including EL fairmont giha, AU I XR8, AUIII Fairlane giha V8, BA XR6T) my current car is a BA mk2 FPV GT and I love it. most over the others have stayed standard, but the modifying bug bit me on this one! lol. I may start a thread on it, so wont go into too much detail here, but basicly its got: chrome 19's, chrome front grill and rear boot garnish (from fairmont), custom front GT badge, shaker, exhaust, full induction system, and some painting of the engine bay heres a couple of old pics, ill update them when the grill is fitted (whole reason i found this forum, to find out how to remove/fit it) I look forward to being a little more involved on here, cheers p.s sorry bout the size of the pics, i dont know how to do thumbnails |
