Ugh good point Blueford260...
Now you say it like that it's really not working for the XR cars...

I don't actually expect anyone here was. 'Core enthusiasts' is probably marketing slang for a vote around the meeting room table because three of the blokes in the room watched part of a Bathurst race once.
I wouldn't spend too much more time thinking about it because the reality is they probably won't tell you. Edit: Is that image of the blue car squashed a bit? The rear end is looking a bit round - VT Commodore style... |

Does it really matter what it's called?
With Ford's world car design team it's going to be........ "How would you like your Falcon sir. Large, medium or small?"

Fgx, thumbs down. Suppose when everyone whines that the interior is the same they can say it's just an upgrade not a new model.

You certainly can't say FoAs model codes of the last 15 years were predictable, like the other crowd. BA and FG were completely unexpected and FGX, no one saw that one coming.

The "key enthusiasts" get paid the big bucks.
As with other companies that fail, it's too top heavy with the wrong mindset amongst certain individuals.

Either something to do with emissions or crash testing.

3 letters and either 2 or 3 numbers, otherwise it is a $2,500 plate :(

I'm really disappointed with 'FGX', it doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, FX or FZ would have made more sense to me being a new model, not just a freshen up.

FX wouldn't do, being the first Holden and all. I agree, it's not what I thought it would be or hoped it would be, but it's done and so is the order for the plates. Here's hoping it stays FG X and that it really does punch out 335kw....
