A 120Y
Pulled out of a mechanics and drove towards me.
Was a bit shocked how small it looked sitting amongst the modern dailys buzzing about.

Saw an XL falcon wagon on my early morning daily commute. Apparently youngins and hipsters buying them and slamming them down low these days because they don't have the v8 era classic aussie car tax, and because small wagon keeps the price low.
Looks tiny compared to my BA and especially all the SUVs out there. Small compared to even a corolla these days.

The guy inside seemed massive, but that's just because the seat backs are below shoulder blades, old cars seem to be the equivalent of wrapping a go cart in glass for weather protection only.

I've been tempted on a 1982 series 3 landrover but I'm not that insane yet.

Anyone remember these? Mitsubishi 380 TMR with a supercharged 3.8 V6 and Brembo brakes and all.

This one was stunning, like brand new. Was driven by an older gentleman.

I saw a Volvo S40 20 recently. I guess the '20' makes it a 2 litre. Now- redundant Vic rego sticker still on the windscreen told me it was a year 2000 model/first registered then. Older woman driver, maybe the original owner.

Another rare Mitsubishi, the Ralliart Magna. I think I have only seen one or two of these ever.

The engine in these was light years ahead of any Commodore or Falcon of the time being smoother and more refined than the hoary old SOHC inline 6 and Ecotec.

Agreed!

The ralliart used to put out 180kw at the flywheel, up on the standard cars 154. Id imagine there`s a bit more in the engine with some tweaking.

Couple of places offered a supercharger kit, promising 225kw. Would have been fun.

Also one of our members here on AFF had a highly modified Magna or 380 I believe, was supercharged, I'll see if I can dig through and find the thread.

EDIT: Was forum member @zilo; with a twin turbo 380, unfortunately all the photos are nuked with a Ukrainian flag

https://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11389306

Also honourable mention for forum member @JC; with his 380 thread which turned into Magna appreciation:

https://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11329227

There's another forum member in there with a tough looking modified TJ Magna:

I reckon they're a mint looking car those TJ Magna when slammed on big wheels.

RaptorSC used to do a centrifugal supercharger kit for them:

https://www.facebook.com/raptorsc/ph...3309616828380/

This thread also has a discussion about someone who had one of the kits on their Magna as well with photos:

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...6923825&type=3

Looks like it has a massive driveshaft because the crank is on the other side of the engine to where the supercharger is mounted.

I spotted a Ford Tauris today. Where the AU, to some eyes, has seemed to mellow with age, the Tauris is still absolutely horrid!

Looks to be an early one going by those side mirrors. Don’t think I have seen a SS with the early shorter mirrors. Hard to tell but I wonder if that is a SS or G3 rear spoiler.
