Don't know what's some peoples problem with the code name...so what it's called FG X, cause after this model, there'll be no more.
Ford can call it FG MMXV if they like, don't bother me. |

Yes, I know it's a Taurus, yes I know it's not coming here, but what a pity that the new Falcon doesn't have an interior that looks like that.

I love that Jag with the recessed boot lid, makes the rear end look so fat.

It still sounds cheap regardless of the explanation (albeit a good one).

Maybe JPFS1 wasn't playing around and just had to be careful in what he could publically say..I could sense his frustration until he clarified the reasons. Frankly I don't see the fuss over the model designation, we ALL don't realise we're lucky this car is even being released and I mean that seriously, the fact it's being produced is not what was the plan originally.

Your right it is a storm in a teacup but if you give a proper explanation then there is no confusion. If Ford have got it to the point where they found loop hole then great, I dont expect them to advertise the fact but they cant really hide it either.
I believe your in the supply channel so I can understand your point of view, but from a consumers I have and never feel "lucky" that someone wants to sell something to be...luck goes both ways; maybe they are lucky anyone cares?

I am surprised that people are saying, "It looks like a Mondeo/Mustang", without realising that this is their intention in bringing this model to the market. It makes perfect sense to make the transition as cleanly as possible, and many buyers probably won't even notice the difference design-wise once the Falcon does bow out. I think the new XR looks horn, but I want to see it in colours I would actually buy. Looking forward to seeing a colour like Ego make an appearance, or even the colour on that new SZ II that looks like a nice dark grey colour they are bringing in. After thinking about it overnight, as clumsy as FG X may be, I'm actually not hating it like I thought I would. I do like the tip of the hat to the older models, and the explanation provided earlier makes perfect sense. I certainly prefer this over FG MkIII.

AU, AU2, AU3
BA, BA2 BF, BF2, BF3 FG, FG2, FGX Looks like the X just replaces a "3" to me.... The new car mechanically equates to an FG series 3 does it not?

We are dominated by the Holden SS in our fleet, but we are hoping to get one of the last V8 Fords. The turbo six was a fantastic package so looking forward to the last of the V8s.
Hopefully they won't include an electronic hand brake like in the VF. Hate it. BTW the favourite in the fleet was a VE, went harder, nice. We just pensioned it off for a VF, only time will tell if it is deemed to be better. A Ford should be awesome if we can get our hands on a couple, it all depends on the Fleet Manager.

Looks really nice in that darker colour. I hope we see an XR8 in the wild soon. |

I ordered my plate in Graphite, so here's hoping that colour finds its way to the XR8!

Can anyone mock up the grey colour seen on the Territory SZ II? I miss Ego, and this looks like it might be a go-er. Hoping it makes the colour palette on offer for the FG X.
