I would just like to introduce myself, Andrew is my name, nickname chooka. I am doing up my pride and joy, the ever powerful AU Series III Ghia. Liquid silver, full leather seats, hayman reese towpack, 16 inch special Ghia mags, 168kW stock. I am putting in an Alpine CDA-7998R, V12 amplifier, JBL subwoofer, Pioneer kevlar speakers, a retro fit set of Narva ultima driving lamps, and much more to come later. Hi Guys, finally joined the Forums again.
I was a member of the old site but in the changeover I had problems signing on, and then someone pinched my user name. My name is Greg, and I own Sureflo Exhaust at Ingleburn. We specialise in custom exhaust work, and especially Drone Free systems (BA on) which is what most other systems have problems with. I have done a search and found good and bad reports about us, so hopefully I can address any issues that arise from time to time, and sort some of your questions. Anyone that needs advice, feel free to send me an email, which is answered a lot quicker than PM's, but I will answer PM's as well. sales@surefloexhaust.com.au We work on all types of cars here, and yes I bleed Red Blood, but one of my Tradesman (Alan) bleeds Blue Blood, just to keep the rivalry going. Contrary to popular belief, we do work on a lot of Fords here as well, and in the last few weeks we had a BF travel down from Mackay, and an Anti Terrorism Vehicle - FG XR8 from Newcastle. Anyway, if I can help any of you with advice, I am only too happy to help. Cheers Greg |

Evening all,
17, live in Adelaide and have been saving for my first car in recent months. Wasnt fussed as to what it would be, a road trip to the Wangaratta jazz festival in my mates EB Falcon changed all this: four bald tires and the biggest oil leak known to man (spent our last day of the trip sitting outside the Beechworth mechanics forking out all our shrapnel to afford a retread of the one tyre that was so bald it started to shred itself, mate told us the car was running like a dream before we left: false!) Thus i have decided that i have to own my own Falcon: Not because his was shithouse (he never took care of it), but because despite all this, the falcon REFUSED to die. reckon about 4/5 grand for an EF/EL, must be a manual, LPG would be handy. thank you and goodnight |

Hey guys, I have been lurking here for a few weeks (couldn't register because it kept rejecting my email, but I have a Windows Live email now and it seems to have accepted that) and it seems like a cool place to talk Falcons and cars/driving in general. I'm also a member of another Falcon club but I dunno if I can talk about that so I'll just leave it at that. Hopefully I can make some contacts here that can help me on my way to owning an XB coupe... one day ;)
At the moment I have an 86 XF S Pack with a stock 200ci engine and 3-speed auto. Recently had the exhaust replaced as the old one was falling apart. Got a 2¼ system with a hi-flow cat and Wildcat extractors (never heard of the brand but that's what the shop used). Doesn't sound so much like a tractor any more. Here's a pic of it. It now has a bad case of hail damage courtesy of the recent storms here in Queensland. I was devo'd as this was my first car and I am hugely attached to it. I also have a 79 XD S Pack with a mild 351C and 4-speed single-rail. It needs a better exhaust (I will be more involved with the parts selection for this one) but at the moment I'm focusing on getting all the stuff sorted for its roadworthy (bought it in VIC and drove it to QLD, so it now has to pass a QLD test). It's the colour of mustard and it's lumpy and smelly and rides like a bull. Owned it nearly a year now and my hands still shake when I get out of it. Picture. You may recognise it, I bought it from a member here. Made the purchase at the All Fords Day in Geelong this past February; I was the jackass making a fool of himself trying to operate the iron clutch (only other manuals I had driven at the time were 4cyls). But by the time I got it out of the showgrounds I was shifting like a pro. Was a good trip, 1,700 kilometres from Geelong to SE Queensland, lots of good pics. Anyway can't think of anything else to write so I'll go have a look around at all the forums I can see now that I'm a member |
