Was hoping for keyless start smart ****, and not need a key at all. Technology has moved on and something thats standard in ******* Hyundais should be standard in a more expensive Falcon.

The keyless entry/ push button start is deal breaker for me. Please Ford have a pushbutton start with no key!!

It should have been made viable many moon’s ago, at least in the upper range of vehicles and then made it’s way down the line latter on, either way I am very disappointed that the Falcon and further more the Territory does not come standard with it in this day and age.

So pushing a lock button and turning a key is that passé these days that it becomes the be-all and end-all of a sale?

Oh no, it doesn't have afterburners or ion cannons, I don't think I could possibly buy one.
How hard is it to turn a key for f**ks sake. |

im with you Nikked, is it really so hard to turn a key? i'v been doing it for 45 years and have never thought about the need to not do it. As for not buying a car because it has a key start , sorry mate I would buy a Falcon if I had to hand crank the thing.

On a positive note the new seat covers look great. The all black shinny leather in the FG was really letting the interior down IMO.
Apart from that I don't really have anything else positive or negative to say, its just all the same. I think anyone upgrading from a B series will love the updated Falcon if Ford can put them together right.

Motoring journos will tar the FG X with the "too little, too late brush", which won't help its cause.

"The falcon's lacklustre, bland and dated interior fails to match the impact of the VF, the lack of hotly predicted flappy-paddles and push button start cements this car in yesterdays leftovers"

I mean, in some cars you have to turn a key and then push the starter button.

The VF interior is so much better. Ford enthusiasts will still buy the falcon but they will lose many potential buyers because of the crappy interior
Don't think Ford really gives a stuff tbh |

It would be a deal breaker to many when most people these day’s cross shop and compare vehicles in their class, I understand it is hard for people such as those on here to understand that, as they are enthusiast of the Ford product and will defend it to the death.
But Ford aren’t out to gain those sales are they, they are targeting the majority of consumers that do happen to compare and cross shop vehicles with in their segment and when you find that other vehicles come standard with things such as proximity entry/keyless start well people will see better value for money in a vehicle that offer’s more with all of todays modern gadgets. I know when I cross shopped the Territory Titanium with a vehicle like the Hyundai Santa Fe Highlander, you do wonder what vehicle gives you better value for your money, and if I wasn’t an enthusiast of Ford I would take my money where I see fit. The Falcon and Territory has been left well behind in this department against it’s competition IMO. |

I still think the 50th anniversary interior looks better, very disappointed.
Love the exterior it looks great, but surely they could have changed a few more things in the interior to make it look a little more nicer. |
