Think Ford Fusion styling on Falcon chassis.

The grill is unsuprising, they do own Aston Martin afterall.

Final stab at the fastest Australian production car? ;)

In some ways it is kinda sad. Sort of like a famous sportsman warming up, before running onto the field for his last game before retirement.

This apparently is the the front grill from an XR. Notice the current style XR badges clearly do not fit. This appears to be a close up of the upper section of the grill.

Now compare the above picture with one of my FG below with the bumper off. Clearly you can see the same power steering cooler and top right bolt for XR6T intercooler. My intercooler is off in the below pic, don't have one with it on to show.

Also worth noting that the larger F6 intercooler covers the power steering cooler, so if the above car is an XR6T it is running the same intercooler size as current FG XR6T.

The mounting point on that front grille looks like it would suit an XR50 style badge (font)

They can bring back the BA/F snug and ergonomic interior Door Handles for a start !

I'm savouring these spy pic moments, this will be the LAST time we will ever experience them.

What ever FH looks like, comes with, interior is, I don't care, let me have my little bit of excitement and keep the negativity out of this thread.

Looking forward to the last Falcon

i was thinking the same thing while looking at these pics, thinking "well that's still the last Falcon (australian at least) door we'll ever see" It's sad - like many of us i've watched these pics with excitement since i was a kid reading magazines (the things they had before the internet)

My research tells me that the bonnet scoop pictured is on the Mad Max concept designed by Nima Nurian, which is on display in the foyer of the design centre.

Also what is the pattern embossed into the doors?
Am I seeing something or is something being covered up with white sheeting?

didn't notice that at first - if i were to guess i'd say it's something stuck on to 'throw people off'. I hope so because it looks totally out of place and ugly.

Seems like weŕe getting the same type of mule like the Everest mule with the Territory tail.
I'm pretty excited about this car actually

Not really.

That vehicles sheet metal is indicative of the final product.

The Everest was a mule, this is not.

I don't suppose you could confirm whether or not the FH will have an all new interior?

I snapped a pic of a mad max concept model at dreamworld on the Gold Coast of all places, was hidden away in a tent out at the back.
Complete with 'max rockatansky' white writing on the tyres.
Il see if I've still got the pic.

Found it

Fair point. But for some, it means the difference between buying an FH and not buying an FH.

Nein. Goauto are on the money with regards to their comments about the interior. It's unfortunate but I guess there's just no extra money around.

I dont see any issues with the interior, except for the lack of door Grab handles.

If you compare it with the VF interior it looks really outdated. Hopefully at least a freshen up that makes it passable

I never realised how fiddly the fg icc is, but after driving my au lane then jumping back in the fg I really think the usability has gone backwards. The au is just easy. Buttons are large and well defined, commen sense layout mostly. Fg looks better but doesnt work better imo

the fg takes longer to get used to yes, with buttons in somewhat odd locations but you get used to it quick enough

The thing im looking forward to is switching from XR to G series. I am so sick of black interiors, light colored ones are so visually refreshing and 'alive'. Black seats occasionally receive direct sunlight and they are ouchy for a while.

Completely serious. Black/charcoal interiors sucketh! Go look at your Ferraris or Mercs or BMWs, they all offer sand/camel/cashmere colored interiors. 10 times nicer to the eye than yucko blacko deado burnto color.

just seemed a little, odd.

My AU3 (now sold) had a full black interior and it was the best interior of any of the 13 Falcmontlane's i've owned.. so your comment is purely personal choice. I love the cashmere interior of BF2/FG luxo models yes, but they tend to wear and are quite hard to keep clean.

i doubt they're going to offer more leather colour choices, but it'd be a nice touch. My Rio if bought overseas gets the option of black, cream or caramel leather interior, here i got the choice of: black.

You can't got past the white/beige leather/wood/chrome combination.

That cashmere colour combination was popular in the G Series wasn't it? It's certainly the colour combination (or similar) I'd be looking at in 2016 if I can convince myself that I need a FH G6ET...
