Black is the only color that doesn't bring to mind 'TAXI' when I look at the rear end. It actually looks the goods... but only in black!

For the XR6T and XR8, the rear thing needs to be black chrome and the indicator and reverse lights need to be darkened (with a brighter bulb) to suit:

Will there still be a G6ET?

Haven't heard much at all and no photos seen either.

That black strip and dark lights looks awesome. I can see people doing that aftermarket.

The front end looks sexy and the back looks great with the black accents.
The missus needs a new car but I can't see her wanting a large sedan.
I wish I had the money for a second car. The Ranger is great and practical, but I wish I had the power and comfort of the XR8 as a daily drive though.

Then black it is!

To be honest, if I was purchasing one it would be black.

My AU XR8 is black and just looks so good when clean

Which is why Ford should of thought of it and it should've come like that out of the factory. Darkened lenses are nothing new and perfectly legal if factory standard.

Yep for sure. Would look good when they do it for the XR8 Sprint!

My wife's old VW Vento had dark lenses from factory. The light was actually still bright through it as it was made up of lots of skinny untinted lines in the lense.

Not actual car but same model:

Agreed, it's only because of the corporate look. If that language wasn't being used globally then I feel it would be all Falcon but because now it's a bit Ford generic it's lost its uniqueness.

Doesn't change the fact it looks good but it's less Ozzie for that reason alone.

Yes, that's what I wrote a while back only to be shot down.

It doesn't have the Falcon signature or resemblance due to strong US design influence.
