The Terra Ute is painted in Yellow and the Discovery Centre now has it, it was on display there the last time I was there (a few years ago) I dont think it was 4WD though, but pretty sure it was a V8.

No the Terra is still blue, and is at the discovery center.

You might be thinking of the yellow AU "Mongrel" Ute, had the bogan treatment done to it.

Wayne - DA...lol...why the heck does the LTD get its own code from that of the normal fairlane? Its just got added trim.

Cool pics of the phase 7 and 8's too!..are they EA's?

LTD gets its own code because in years gone it was actually longer and looked different to a Fairlane. Some traditions are more easliy kept than others....

Were the "Phase" EAs sixes?

As for the Fairlanes... DA, DC, DF and DL were the LTD equivalents to N-series Fairlanes ;)

And if you thought that was confusing... try following the X-series (XD-XF style) Falcons vs Fairlanes vs LTDs!

lol you could buy an SS....yeah right.

The list is hardly "special edition". Define special edition. Because run out specials (classics) and poorly selling models (V8 and XR wagons) aren't special edition.

Needs to be pruned big time to changed to "E-series with sort of small build numbers". ED XR8 are special? It was a regular model, not numbered, not a limited run. EA s-packs are special edition? It's a GL with red stripes, a badge and different seats!

How the hell are XR6 and XR8 special edition? Fair enough the SS and the Sprint, but run of the mill XR6 and XR8? V8 wagons and XRs were regular production, just canned because no one wanted them.

You prune, you pruned it. Wagons included - they were made, you must keep the best of them. Fewer numbers too.

I spotted you a few weeks ago on Cardigan St in Carlton, I think. Can't be that many V8 ED Wagons with Clarke AV stickers on the doors!

unfortunatley there werent any "special" model wagons

if there was such a thing as a ED XR8 Sprint Wagon, it'd be on that list...
