I had some kind of goatee/mo configuration for years from about 2002 to early 2010. It was only when I made a mistake one day and had to shave the lot off that I realised it was much quicker and easier to go clean shaven and shave every day than mess about trimming and shaping once a week.
The only down side is that razor blades are very expensive. |

I'm married so looks are meaningless. Being lazy I just just run the hair clippers over my face and head every three weeks or so, the trigger is when the face gets too itchy.
It makes life carefree and comfortable. |

I'm trying to get the old man to grow a beard since he's been off work sick for the last month but Mum doesn't approve. He can grow an awesome black/grey beard.

I've grown a feint goatee. I hate being clean shaven. I look younger than I really am without facial hair.

I'm a stubble person, otherwise I look 13 years younger than I am. Pretty much an individual thing I'd imagine, depending on how the man himself feels he looks with/without a beard etc. I've heard sometimes it can be a 'safety blanket' or 'shield' to have a beard, some use it to cover acne scars or other things they are paranoid about.
However, there's a certain beard style that should never be replicated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15S0g8pG6HU
