It would... but put a turbo Barra in an AU and you'd have a pretty adept machine! The fact remains that Ford went backwards with the IRS design from BA. The control blade setup is rubbish compared to the AU's double wishbone IRS.

Yes but a 6.7l Windsor is a big heavy chunk of iron sitting over the front axle it ain't going to exit the corner to well considering it's spose to out handle an FG ......my AU Ghia with the heavy cast iron IRS weighs 1800kgs .....so I don't see how it would be any better than an F6 or Miami powered falcon?

With afr 205's the 351w would only be marginally heavier than a factory 302.

The factory IRS is too fragile and heavy for this application, a 4 pinion BorgWarner would be a minimum.

11.5 at 130mph

Driven a few AU they handle like a boat, while the IRS in the AU was good the control blade was a improvement and with stiffer chassis and revised front suspension was much better handling car.

1. ANY suspension component that is forged will far outperform the steel pressed rubbish that is under a post BA falcon.

2. A wishbone is a he'll of alot more effective in maintaining geometry than this multi link crap that's under an FG.

+ low 11's for a car that can be driven around daily without any stall, turbo timer, crazy short diff gears in my opinion is awesome... sick of all these trailer queens.

Intech's and to a greater degree barra's don't tolerate excessive valvetrain drag, boost is the only way.

Boost is for those who never drive or claim their engine rebuilds as a business expense.
