Simply highlighting the fact back at that poster, that i have made two other choices. I Have not made any references to the OP, or the value of the vehicles. Have you read this thread in full? - show me where i have personally attacked anyone, including the OP for his decision. I simply stated a fact of my findings regarding prices in the last few months. I offered my option on a PUBLIC forum and its turned into a personal slanging match towards my choices. You are free to make comments, likewise i am free to reply. I'm sure OP is happy with his choice, he should be, but maybe the next person who reads this and is looking for a used car can be armed with the knowledge of what OTHER people have also paid and base their purchasing decision on that!.

All good fellas. I'm enjoying the car. Bluetooth/Spotify steaming is great. I'm used to it on my wife's Territory titanium. This is only monochrome screen though, But still does the job!
Very handy that the gas primes when the door is opened. It's almost instant start. I am tempting to do the transmission service on the 6HP26. Got to find the link on here again. It's a pig to find on my phone for some reason. The taxi mechanic told me not to service it, if it's not leaking/problematic. Want to try without a flush. She didn't need anything other than a window for rwc. Council looked after it which was good! Bearings/ Bushes were changed and in perfect condition Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk |

If you want a colour screen, i've seen them are on Ebay for under $1000. Just need to get it activated.
Not sure, but people have said its an easy change over.

Waiting for the day when someone works out how to flash tune or turbocharge these EcoLPI weapons. Rumour was in development, power was reaching 240kw, but Ford didn't want to fit an xr6t driveline to a budget car and detuned it about 200kw instead.

Believe it or not, i enjoy the search. New or used. Looking up pickles online takes 5 minutes a day. No tyre kicking needed until i found the one i wanted. I've bought a lot of cars in the last 20 years (23 in total), some i won on, some i lost (big time). One thing for sure, in my case, the more time i put into it, the better the outcome was. so yeah.......you could say that buying cars, getting bored, then selling them is one of my hobbies!

Yep, I've seen pics of auction cars as well, in reality they don't always marry up to the car you see in person. Nice pick up to the OP.
Like many here on this forum we have often been told there are cheaper cars out there. P155es me off too. Especially when said cars are on the other side of the country. Apples with apples please.

Gave her a full service today.
HPR 5 penrite oil, filter, Genuine plugs, genuine coils, o2 sensor and air filter. Meaning to do the coolant flush and thermostat but was cut for time. Looking to have a mechanic friend do the 6hp26 auto. I've got the filter and oil. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk |

Two month update, She is running good. Loves the HPR5 full synthetic.
Drinks a little more gas than I expected, but because of the extra power I'm booting it a lot more.... Plus playing with perf mode on the transmission seems to rev it more, no complaints!! Loving it Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk |

Yeah it does. I've been meaning to do it for a few weeks now. Keep forgetting and noticing when I fill up my wiper fluid. On a side note, I used cooled down boiled water for the radiator flush/fill as I had no lift to shops for distilled water! I'm a shocker.

Not rumour, fact, during development they where very close to turbo power output,so as not to encroach on Turbo sales they "detuned" them.(have this in an article some where, with all my other Ford stuff/articles.) They put out around 210kw Cheers

Why would you boil water though? Boiling it does nothing... The goal is to remove the salts from the water... If you have a frosting freezer (old school I know), but in the 80's we'd thaw out the frost formed in the freezer and use that as its salts free (not really distillation but a similar result)

Sold the car this week with 230,000km for $9k with RWC.
So I did around 22,000km and lost a grand total of approx $950. Factoring it I supplied the RWC which cost me $140 and need 1 ball joint for $125. |
