Go the Aussies !!!!! What an awesome 10 minutes !

On a side note though, if Australia would play like this against Brazil they would be in big trouble.

Absolutely amazing! I was planning to get some sleep before the Italy game but I dont think its going to happen now. I was just saying before that Australia really dosen't have the ability to score goals, 1 goal in two legs against Urugauy, 1 against Greece, 1 against Netherlands, but geez, 3 goals in 8 minutes, did they ever come through when they needed to

Unbelievable!
My heart is still racing!

I'm still not happy with Japans goal, and we really should have made it a total of 4, but a small error which won't be analysed too heavily thanks to the late quickies.

Default This one is for you Johnny Warren

Australia was clearly the better team. The Japanese defended strongly and marked Viduka out of the game. A tactical change by Gus Hiddink and a blunder by the Japanese goal keeper in the 84th minute saw Australia equalise. The Japanese then fell to pieces and two more goals followed in quick succession.

If Australia lost this game then it would be all over as Brazil and Croatia are stronger opponents. Now only one win is required to get to the next stage.

oh that, ye its quite a good add, i thought it happened in the actual game.

back in highschool i knocked a guy flat on his backside with a volleyball, after i spiked him smack bang in the middle off the face, fliking his glasses off.

whooops, it was that funny, that the coach ref'ing had to compose himself as everyone had a laugh.

Why not? They keep trying to drag soccer down. I'll never forget the crap the late Ted Whitten used to say.

Thankyou, I have had to keep hearing all my life that the other codes were better and that our sissy game had no cred, phhhft this is cred and something the National comps can never have as just a handful of mediocre countrys play and 1 no-one else does.
So shoot me but this is our time finally woooooooooohooooooooooo : :
No offence guys but this is BIG.......

They almost didn't! They were losing 1-0 in the semi final to Croatia and were on their way out when a defender who never scored for his country prior to that day (and hasn't scored for his country since that day) scored twice to put France into the final. So ANYTHING is possible as was seen in the last six minutes of today's game.

What makes a sport bigger and better then another? It's a highly personnel answer, and don't give me the bulls**t that bigger means better, if that was the case, everyone would be playing soccer, driving GM's, wearing Nike clothing, talking English, and none of you would be getting laid :
