Congrats on your new toy. Got the pics yet?

Been there done that, mine was still a great car. Ford paid for a roof respray that got re-done a few times while I owned the car. It kept getting tidal marks down the rear pillars where they blended the roof into it.

I'm not a spray painter so I don't know how you avoid that problem.

My nephew took delivery of a new car with a tiny imperfection on the front bar. He didn't care. 3 days later he was more concerned with the way he wrote the car off.

Ask for a new car? Really? REALLY?

Just get them to fix the bloody thing, in my experience, if the shop is good, then the paint will be even better than factory..
Some people don't value money at all...

If I was spending that amount on a new car I'd want it to be PERFECT.
Defeats the whole purpose if it isn't.

At work, we had paint peeling off the guard flares on a Patrol, dealer denied warranty because it had been offroad.....

It is never good to take delivery of a new car and find defects straight away. My FG F6 had a couple of very minor defects that 99% of people would not notice. I informed the dealer but did not want the vehicle resprayed.

ILLaViTaR, I wouldn't of said it like drew`SEVNT5's but I do agree with the philosophy of moving on.

Its all relative. We don't all have the same priorities in our lives or the same expectations of perfection.

I've fought Ford and won but I'm unlikely to do it again unless it is a serious issue. (Yes, 'serious' is relative too). It has nothing to do with money, it has everything to do with what it did to my health.

Haha, reason I say is, it seems to me that all the indie-hipster kids I know have had a completely stupid car incident... like smashing a drivers side window instead of calling RACV when he locked his keys in inside
Too busy drinking chai tea and 'chilling' outside the state library.
I'm not prejudiced

A crusade against non-car enthusiasts on our roads!

Next time you post engage your brain before you start typing eh?

Glad to see you got it all sorted, when i got my XR5 i went over everything but couldnt find anything so i was happy. It will get marks on it as time goes on anyway so enjoy it for what it is.

Marks here and there. The judges will let you off. Might be a bit uncomfortable when we laugh too much and a little bit of wee comes out.
