Wheres the option for camry? ROFL

Nah I almost bought a TR magna elite instead of my first car the MAD_EA_SPAC:P, if the guy wasnt dodgy about the magnas RWC i'd probably be cruising in a magna :P

Now with the VX i really wanted an AU ute, ended up with a VX sedan

And the EB, I always wanted another e-series wagon since selling the ED

I wasnt even looking for a car at the time. I was happy driving my 1982 datsun/Nissun Pulsar.

EF caught my eye and yeh, I now own my 3rd.

Ive always wanted a XY/XA/XB/XC though. Dream car and i may look at buying one before they reach $74,0000,0000000000

Wouldnt mind a nice EL2 XR8 to keep for the sake of it lol

I ended up buying an EF Gli at the start of the year, all I could realistically afford being a student etc...

I wanted an AU 2 Black SR or something, but they were abit pricey for what they are, so I gave up on that and just grabbed the EF.

Next car I think will be an XR6T or an XR8 in the next few years.....unless I decide to blow money on things like houses etc :-)

Ive had a couple of EB's .. and a EL . The EB 4.0 wagon was a great car. I flogged it for 180,000 k,s and did not let me down once.
I am happy with the TE , but I probably would like a red 65 mustang , or a bronze xy fairmont with black vinyl roof , lowered with twelve slotters ,and black interior .302 or 351 & power steering . Probably my two favourite cars.

When I was looking to replace the old VP Commie (even though I was a Ford man) I was thinking EF/EL XR6 or XR8 or VR/VS SS.

After driving a VR SS and an EFII XR6, it was the EFII XR6 all the way!

Ford biased aside, a 5.0 litre VR/VS SS wouldn't have been a bad compromise though. I could have happily lived with one.
The sound they make is beautifully tough and they don't go too badly, but the XR6 was perkier, quicker, more solid, better interior, steered and handled better...

i bought an e series but i really wanted... a mercedes 450se from my dads friend for similar price. always garaged, low kms. unfortunantly the merc was garaged and not run for 4 years, and about 10 minutes after running it (it started first turn of key after battery charge) it started blowing smoke... Merc 4.5 ohc v8 had 163kw, 370nm, not bad for 1973, nice sound too, but no good when its blowing smoke!
settled for ford ed, because its big, and cheap to repair, and can be gas converted with $3000 rebate in WA (i get it converted tomoro!), i also find the big ford motors last quite long. merc felt luxurious, but eseries feels more modern, probably better for taking a girl out, merc is a bit too old fashioned. falcon looks a bit of a p-plate car with the mags it has on, merc looks like i should be chauffered around in it, body was pristine. Next car i want a new European turbo diesel, maybe the 4.0L twin turbo bmw straight six diesel, 225kw, 400nm (at 1500rpm) and less then 10l per hundred Kms, or a classic mercedes finny, if i can find a nice restored one. no bogan xds for me, i had enough of you know what people waving at me (for a lift i think) when i drove a zk fairlane. lol make what you want of that... i hope to get about 5 years driving out of the ED running on gas.

On the other hand ive always loved the shape and fetures of the El faimont ghia, there is something about those cars that makes them quick and sporty yet at the same time you see class and extremly smooth with clean lines.

i think thats going to be my next venture an EL fairmont ghia.
