Sorry my post wasn't that Port aren't deserving of the flag... Just the hype that was given to them for destroying Kangaroos when Geelong had done it by a bigger margin 2 weeks earlier..

[QUOTE=nugget378]Lives in Geelong, hates the Cats and drives a Holden..
Some fella's just HAVE to be different.. QUOTE] most of Geelong is the same as this bloke - like everywhere else your either a Ford man or a Holden one or otherwise deluded. you follow the footy team you choose. Otherwise Geelong would have 100,000 members and Ford sell an extra 20,00 cars a year. Thing about Geelong people is that no matter how much they love their Holdens or the maggies they still have a soft spot in there somewhere for both the Geelong Cats and Ford Moco. Good on ya for being honest and ballsy - but this city need the Cats to go all the way this year and it wouldn't be a bad thing for Ford either. |

Mrs quite enjoyed having several of the cats boys down at the kids swimming today doing recovery in their budgie smugglers, now she wants a membership too.
I just wish they had cheerleaders like the Storm. |

Can't believe 3 Geelong blokes got 60 Brownlow votes, Bartel well deserved a winner too. Funny how nervous he was though!

But congrats to him, well deserved and a clear winner, even with being out for the last two games of the season! Felt bad for G Ablett and the Cornes boys - none of them did too well considering the expectations. Scott Thompson for the Crows scored about double what Chad Cornes scored!!!

I dont really care who wins, just as long as it is an entertaining match. But if the Cats do win it would mean that the premiership would have gone to 5 different states in five years. I doubt that will happen again any time soon.

Geelong has gone crazy with all the supporter coming out of the woodwork, I can guarantee that if Geelong loose the city will go into some recession and it won't be lived down for a few years!
anywho.....carn the cats!

My 2c
Win or lose, there will be a riot. If Geelong manage to lose the most unloseable GF they've played in the last 44 years, it might pay to pack your car and get out of town!! If they win, there will be a party that will go for at least October, might even push into November!!

Port have played shyte as well, they are having a shocker of a day!!!
Geelong have done well and made the most of Port's poor efforts! Huge margin! I thought Geelong would win but not by this much at all. Eamon has called a couple of times, from Geelong and lets just say he is quite happy!!! I will be hearing about this for months... and months.... and months... to come. While I am not a Port supporter, I reckon booing a team who are 90+ points down, when they get a goal, is poor form. Oh well, has to be next year to get that cup out of Victoria! :P Oh and who is going to win the Norm Smith? Chappy? G Ablett? Bartel?
