They changed the Ref on us. Now Irish. Don't know him - I only know the ones involved in S14.

12-10 loss.

That's life. You've got to play the game to win it and England did just that.

Well done to them.

I reckon that game was crap. One bloody try the whole match and it was won through penalties. So not happy! :(

Oh well maybe in the next 4yrs!

One of the reasons I prefer League to Union (and this isn't a flame or whatever and I'm not trying to get under the skin of the Union fans - it's just an observation) is that you can rarely win games purely by penalties or drop goals. It seems to me that Union is going to become a game where the team simply trys to get near to the 22 and either do a drop goal or get a penalty... And then go back to the kick off and do it all over again... :(

I'm more a league man myself too and have never understood union at all. But I mean we got the only try and still lost. Quite disappointing. I think Mortlock did well on that kick cause it was a big ask but as soon as we missed that I knew we were goneskis :(

kicking to win isnt exactly what i call a good win
seems england rely purely on their kick to win tactics because they cant score a try.

good luck to em i hope the kiwi's smash em.

Australia played like crap. Glad I was falling asleep for most of it.

HOLY !
Why, why WHY!
1. Was an English referee involved in a game which decided who "his" team would play in the semi.
2. Frances only try was from a forward pass, that both ref and sideline judge missed... wtf!? New zealand had a few flat passes and they get pulled up straight away.
3. Refs are meant to be impartial, I don't know what the final penalty count was but there should have bee a lot more going new zealands way for offside and hands in the rucks (the later occuring right on camera in the last few minutes)
4. NZ's last drop goal was under advantage, no advantage came... yet he lets the frenchies keep the ball and take a 22 drop out?!

Hating the french and the poms more than ever right now.

I watched the Eng -Aus game also, that ref was brilliant and impartial, england sure as hell deserved to win the way they were playing, very surprised they weren't able to get a couple of tries over with some of their plays.

Looks like im backing SA for a 2nd world cup win... argentina at the very outside.

Geelong Cats win -awesome!
Melbourne Storm win - killer!
Wallabies whoops - bugging!
All Blacks out too - doohh! best team out
Go Ford at Bathurst - FPV-R those Cobras look hot!

Shows why they should have to qualify across the year through international tests and then top 8 teams play best 2 out of 3 to win finals rights.

it was 13-3 at the half....so what the ref decided to wait till the second half to cheat???

let me guess NZ have never scored a try in a WC or Tri-nations from a 'flat'....see FORWARD pass??

if this was an one off or any other team, all your points would be valid to a point, but its NZ and its the WC....so no dice.

Every WC the Kiwis come in as the favourites and every WC they manage to choke....this time they didnt wait till the semis.

this is what the Kiwi skipper had to say.....

Quote:

All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw was left shell-shocked by the defeat.

"I'm lost for words," he said.

"With France, we always knew they could come back in the second half. We lost our composure but I thought we could get it back.

"I can't explain it. We believed we had what it takes. In the first half they forced us to play aerial ping-pong - we didn't want to play like that. We couldn't get through.

"It's a day you try to forget."
See even he thinks the kiwis simply didnt handle the pressure well...

Who would have thought both Aus & NZ would be out! Aus did not deserve to win their game (was hoping though), England's forward pack won it for them.

Gutted... The ref was useless but not to blame for the result, at the end of the day the AB's loss came down to tactics/pressure/composure and they blew it big time. (yes they choked)

There still the best team in the world and would beat France nine times out of ten.

Same as Aus, there probably still the second best team in the world would usually beat England, it's just on the day stuff. Thats why test matches will always be a better indicator of just who is best.

Who cares anyway, a Ford 1, 2, 3 sure makes up for it.

Unfortunately that one time they didn't win was when it was needed.

Hope England get smashed. Don't want them to win!

Yeh Ford swept the podium. As for England they didnt even score a try,the only reason why they won was because australia kept giving away penalties and the ref was quick to give them to us(strange).wilkinson should go play soccer because the one time he was passed the ball he dropped it,and his kicking wasnt that great either.
