I've got a couple of nice ones. I love both of them. My stainless steel Rolex Explorer II has the white dial and my Tag Heuer Monaco has the stainless interlocked mesh band, not leather. Both old fashioned I know, but hell, I love them.

Giving up smoking has easily paid for both of them over the years...

Love a good watch and in the market for one now.

Considering a Victorinox Swiss Army - Mach 6 Airboss.

Also looking at IWC Portofino, Portugeuse, or Pilot.

I like the Tag Carrera or Longines Grand Vittesse - anyone got experience on these?

My watch is always on my arm when I'm not at home.

I'm quite attached to my watch, it's been with me for a long time. It's just a Lorus Sports with a metal band. It was a Christmas present from my folks when I was 17, which was 13 years ago now. Probably cost around 100 bucks at the time so it was a good purchase on their part.

Nice Watch!

My mate has one. And it looks awesome. IMO the casual surf looking watches look better then the bling bling watches.

I generally never wear any jewellery whatsoever because It ends up becoming uncomfortable, taken off and subsequently lost. However for my 30th b'day in 2007 my best mate bought me a watch (Pulsar) and has been bugging me for over a year to wear it so beginning last week (after removing some of the band links) I did. I actually don't mind it except the date keeps going out of whack and days like DOM and SAB pop up and I got no idea whats going on.

Wear mine most of the time, 'cept for shower and sleep.
It's a citizen eco-drive with perpetual calendar, solar powered, recharges the battery from the sun, never needs a battery apparently (well maybe after 20 years when it can't hold a charge anymore).

When at work I couldn't wear one far too dangerous when handling live electrical mains, wire..
A metal watch anyway..
So I only wear one when going out.. If I remember..

i like watches but im not some huge collector or anything - nor am i a snob for them either lol.. currently wearing a VERY good copy of a Tag Hauer - no idea of the style name though.. It's nice solid and 100% stainless steel - can tell by its weight and the fact that the acid in my skin eats through anything but stainless steel. It's got a quartz face which i havn't managed to scratch yet which is surprising..

I haven't worn a watch in over 15 years, then I ended up using my mobile for the time and haven't really been interested in wearing a watch since.

Worn one for as long as i can remember, its just about the first thing i put on when i get up, and the last thing that comes of before hitting the sack.

The one i have at the mo is only a CITIZEN ECO-DRIVE that i bought about 3 years ago for about 600 bucks, its as tough as nails and never needs winding or a battery. (thats charging for the iphone fairys )

I bought a new watch last Christmas and looked at many brands. If I could pick and choose the features of various watches to produce my preferred watch, it would combine:

a) the ATS tide movement used in the Ripcurl Tidemaster
b) the power system used by the Citizen Eco-drive
c) the luminescence of the Luminox brand
d) the styling of a good Swiss brand (but not an overly expensive one)

In the end, I bought the Ripcurl Tidemaster for the features. The expensive watches are fine pieces of jewellery, and they excell at what they are produced for, but they often can't match the accuracy or features of the less expensive watches. But to each his own; that's why there are so many different brands out there. And it's good to have so much to choose from.
