Well yesterday it was driving 300 kay south to pick up an XB ute, original 68 thou on the 302 and driving it all the way back to Perth without a problem, but then the downside came today when the power steering rack on my BA went after replacing it less than 2 years ago.

Today I started a new weight loss/diet program. I've been told by a doctor my health needs to change, and I've been taking steps in the right direction over the last couple of months and have lost about 7kgs so far...however, I still have a long way to go (nearly 40kgs). I've been taking steps to improve my mental health over the last few months and now feel I'm in a place where I can step up the intensity of my weight loss.
I've previously used Max's supershred hydroxphase protein shakes, along with low carb/high protein diets to lose weight...but the protein shakes taste hideous and made my dry reach, so always found it hard to stick at long term. Recently I've been put onto Optifast as a meal replacement and weight loss program. It's actually approved and recommended by doctors and dietitians, as apposed to random protein shakes, to actually provide proper nutrition while enabling fairly rapid weight loss. Today is day 1 and I've had two different flavours of the shakes for breakfast and lunch...and I'm impressed! The coffee flavour tastes like an iced coffee and the strawberry one reminds me of strawberry nesquick! As I mentioned before, my biggest struggle with these sorts of diets previously was the taste and texture of the shakes, but these shakes are yummy. I feel confident that these new shakes, along with my much improved mental state, should help me achieve my goals this year. I'm excited |

Getting quoted $90 for a part from Ford, then finding the exact same part at autobarn for $22.
That was yesty, but a good feeling like that lasts for a few days! Also quitting smokes 23 days ago feels really good, but that's another thread (literally). |

Nice work! Did you keep it off afterwards? The taste is so much better than the protein powder I'd tried before. I haven't really felt hungry that either, despite playing squash tonight. So far, I feel like I'm onto a winner

Im embarrased to say ......... at xmas time i fell off the wagon and enjoyed myself too much ( i love my food ), and did put a fair bit of that back on, but climbing back on the wagon this week,
i think its tougher to be 100% commited when you have given up most of your other worldly pleasures old age sucks(smoking and drinking ) , but we must keep trying . |

Made the decision today to go with our novated lease supplier to source me a FG X XR8.
All of the paperwork is done and I should have an indication of expected delivery date either Monday or Tuesday next week. That made me feel pretty good! Oh, and as per my last post, tea at the pub tonight to top it off Have a great weekend guys and gals. Craig H

I pulled out my 4 inch dump pipe on the Territory to find it cracked and holed.
After that effort a beer was the right thing to do .

^Agreed! The main thing is you're getting back on top of it mik. Keep it up mate.
Day 2 of optifast for me...turns out the caramel flavour shake is horrid. All the other flavours I've tried so far are nice though. The thing I've found interesting is that I still have enough energy to play half decent squash after work, despite how few calories I'm actually getting on this program. I was worried I might get light headed or something, but I've actually felt pretty good |
