If I win the raffle, Im going to build a chicken coop, buy some chickens, park the Commodore and sit back for 30 years.

No, just no.
Some bogan will win it and pull skids in the pub car park before getting it seized by Police, that's my fear.
I'll certainly buy some tickets (then if I win go pull some skids, hahaha).

Just some food for thought, the x2 black VN Group A's that were given away are still alive and well looked after, as is the VK Group A/Group 3 that Supercheap gave away

Just saying..

Well if i won it for $30 it would be extremely well looked after for the short period of time i would own it, i would flip it into the auctioneers hands as soon as i got my hands on it.....

I think with the LMCT raffles they offer a cash alternative as often the main prize may be a supercar or in this case an ultra rare vehicle which they acknowledge not everyone who wins is in the position to keep them or care for the vehicles properly.

LMCT is a business which is set up to make good & easy good money out of these auctions.

Same as loads of other "Charity" business.

I hope this guy does not win this auction.

each to their own but sorry no blue meanie commodore irrespective of ownership history is worth HALF of that sum. i get that Brocky has owned it but its not like its got 60km on it like the ESP. just my opinion. its a significant car because Peter owned it but not $1 million significant

I absolutely get what you're saying, but,
A) A very rare car in amazing condition just on it's own, and
B) Provenance goes a long way with collectors.

Provenance sets an item way past another identical item, just like a Caddy once owned by Elvis, or a Roller once owned by Ringo Star.

Plus, don't forget bragging rights

Exactly, I imagine the bat carried by Bradman into his unlucky final Test innings, would be worth a fair amount.

The only “special” Holden I’d like to own is the Derwent Bridge Monaro.

I hadn’t heard of that one. Here’s the Monaro and owner telling their story.

I think you'll find that they're personalised Tassie plates

That is a rare car. They must have only built a handful of those. And looking at it, it's not surprising really.

That's a HDT built magnum, not just any old stato.. is it worth the same as a VK Group A, no but still a rare vehicle and looking at the condition possibly one of the best ones around

Bit of a weird one this one. All Group 1, 2 & 3 cars started life as a base SS which had XV2 on the compliance plate. This has a SL compliance plate and started out out as a 253 auto and Melbourne built. All SS’s were Adelaide built. What this car is is a development car and I am having trouble finding a build number for it. It’s history is unquestionable and well documented and is a very special car. The add says it is unrestored but I reckon it has been painted. I think it will fetch around half of the recent VK Group sale.

given brock owned the company and they brought out 1 or 2 new models every year of which petey boy would get one, coz he had to be seen driving round in the latest and greatest, there are an awful lot of "peter brocks personal" cars around.

I'm thinking along those lines too.

I won't touch a Brock special if it doesn't have a Polarizer.

I am not sure if you are saying it has the wrong rims but the 15” Irmscher rim was used on the VC as you correctly identified but was continued onto the VH models. The Irmscher was also used on the VK model LM5000 but had some blackouts on it.
Later in the VH build run there was an optional rim the Centra in 16”.
