he wont be worth **** when he's going ga-gaa in a hospital ward after someone who can really fight smashes his bloody head in, but we all know that between the little faggot not fighting anyone he knows will beat him, and the fudgepacking jiudges being paid off, it'll never happen

It's actually the other way around. Mundine has to fight otherwise he looses his title by default. Mundine would never let that happen. Mundine just gets worked up and the media loves it. Other boxers have done the same ie Muhumad Ali. Being visable in the media pays $$$$$$$$. It also intimidates your opponent which is the aim

Outside of the ring Mundine isn't as cocky, he's a normal person. I've seen him on various tv shows and he's very down to earth. He's not some weird a**e yank preaching scientology etc.

that is so childish it ALMOST doesn't require a reply...

By insinuating Mundine can't or won't fight 'someone who can really fight' is an insult to Acosta, Green, Sam, Kessler or Siaca.. Now they are all good fighters pure and simple, with the exception of Kessler and Siaca, Mundine has taught them a lesson.. A Kessler or Siaca rematch would be an interesting propostion as since 04/05 when he fought those men, Mundine seems to have come leaps and bounds in craft, speed and power.

Paying off judges.... I guess 22 of 28 wins by knockout really puts a strain on his coin by buying judges.. What next he pays the ref to count faster?

hahaha... fair enough you mightn't like him but please don;t embarrass yourself by dismissing how good a boxer he is.

I'm not a Mundine fan, but he can fight, no doubt, for that he deserves respect. In my opinion that's where it stops, it would be nice to hear him be a little humble in victory.

Although he has done immesurable amounts for the boxing game in Aus, mainly because people show up in the hope someone will knock him on his ****!!

i agree with everything Racecraft has said
Mundine is the man! a smart one at that.
there is a reason he is on the news talking himself up, and it works.

he is a very talented boxer, and to say otherwise is rediculous

I agree big_pete,

Boxing also is a mind game, and by far 'the man' is one of the best.
He is in your face and all over the media playing mind games, in your head and and his opponents. while his opponents are going for the kill and wanting to knock him off his purch, they all tire and end up lossing.

'The man' has speed, power and fittness trained by his old man, who could fight himself.

but, all I want to see is him flat on his back, but until that happens he is 'the man', 'the man' to beat.

Yeh he was DEF too good for Soliman. Mundine's improvement is scary - he will take on some big names now and going off last night he is very very capable.

The undercard fights were atrocious. Hopoate is a joke and so are his opponents to date.

Solomon Haumono def has the goods but he too needs some better oppononents and longer fights.

The heavyweight fight just before main event was worthy. Poor old Bob Mirovic got knocked out which he didnt deserve - but he was fighting a machine. This guy broke his hand in the first round - still knocked Bob out in the later rounds (8th or 9th?) and Mirovic is no chump - hes had over 40 fights.

Didn't MUndine fight some afro american and ended up winning after being told he was a big underdog? the dude was supposed to have the strongest punches in the game. Who was he and is my memory right that Mundine won?

I think that anyone who says hopoate is a joke wasnt watchin him fight, he doesnt have style but he was in line for the hardest punch and if he cant knock you out he will jam his fist up your bumhole hahaha :thebirds: why poor old bob mirovic, if that fool wants to step in the ring and fight a younger champ hes got it coming, he was like a big tree being chopped down.

OMFG some of you haven't worked it out yet have you!
It's simple reverse psychology, The more you hate him, the more you wanna see his head knocked off.
The more you wanna see his head knocked off, the more notice you are taking of him.
When he fights, you take notice, notice generates talk and talk generates publicity.
Not hard really, the bigger tool he seems, the more publicity he gets, the extra publicity gets ***** on seats, the more ***** on seats, the more money made, the more money made, the more promoters want him in the ring.
How many of the people who watched it on pay TV actually wanted him to win?
Still gets ratings though regardless of the side you take hey.

I saw Ali fight once. He was amazing.
The greatest difference between Mundine and Ali, other than boxing, is that Ali used his fame to support causes and his people whereas Mundine is almost always negative.
The long term difference will be, I suspect, that Mundine, like Paris Hilton, will be famous for a short time while the media play and then forgotten whereas Ali's legend will live on for decades if not centuries....

Mate he punched hard for about the first 30 seconds of the 1st round. After that he was outta puff! Whats so good about that?

No technique - no fitness - what a joke.

Ive seen better fights in school yards.

Id disagree. I think you should do some research into just what Mundine does do. He does help a lot of disadvantaged kids in Redfern as one example.

Ali is a legend no doubt. But you can hardly relate Mundine to Paris Hilton. Like or not - he gets the hype. He's no flash in the pan and has been around for quite some time already with his stints in the NRL and now boxing. He certainly has a lot more to do in boxing and I believe he is going to do it. His drive and motivation is amazing. Mundine is gonna be around for a lot longer than you give him credit for. Well in reality he already has.
