Logged at around 2am 30th May - same again as above. She's slow again, but not as bad as last time. Around 5 sec load times for a text only thread.
Cheers!

Not sure if it means anything but last night I noticed that there were about 400 members online and 1400 - 1600 guests.
At the moment there are 356 members and 1186 guests ...... really? Are we being attacked again?

I was about to blame Telstra as they've been in our street today but it's gone slow everywhere by the looks of these posts.

We have been running maintenance scripts to clean up the mess left behind after the issues the other day. Started them last night and they probably should have finished by now but at least one (the database reindex) is still running. I'll set the priority for it lower so it has less impact.
Cheers Russ

It should take about 15 minutes for the change to take effect:
CPU Usage: u26593.3 s133.97 cu44.63 cs0 - 20.2% CPU load 30.1 requests/sec - 480.3 kB/second - 16.0 kB/request 328 requests currently being processed, 22 idle workers .. that's more load than I'd like to see and not enough idle workers so if it doesn't improve enough I will kill the reindex process. Cheers Russ

Should be nicely calmed down again now. We still need to do the reindex at some stage but I can defer it until some other quieter time.
CPU Usage: u31089.3 s163.17 cu57.87 cs0 - 23.4% CPU load 30.1 requests/sec - 481.1 kB/second - 16.0 kB/request 26 requests currently being processed, 192 idle workers CPU load isn't really the important metric (although it is once it gets over 400%) but the available workers for apache to use is. If they aren't free then there aren't spare ones to service requests. If we can have some feedback to ensure it is ok that would be great! Cheers Russ

They'll take awhile to catch up - whenever server load goes high they don't get sent as mail has the lowest priority of everything.
Cheers Russ
