The pic of the Citroen HY van is cool, just watched a rebuild on the pommie TV show " Wheeler Dealers" theirs was a 1958 model from memory, I like the basic essence and simplicity, excellent.....

Have tried to copy a photo of a Chamberlain 9G Tractor, but no good, it's a young jackaroo, he's travelling around Australia for charity, his name is Sam Hughes aged 17, he's also towing a plane, I kid you not, so I assume his charity is the RFDS,
If anyone could put photo up be nice!......

I remember that episode, he had trouble replacing the "Bluescope" corrugated roofing sides and floor.

An old Chamberlain I spotted at Cygnet Bay Pearl farm north of Broome. They use it for putting their boats in the water.
All that grease keeps the salty air at bay I guess.

So a few pics of tractors while I was down Wagin way doing some farm work, having trouble with Postimages loading at the moment, more to come.
This poor guy was driving on the road towing a hay baler when a truck overtook him and cut back in on him and the trailer wiped out the front end of the tractor, real mess.

An all Ford day for tractors on my cousins farm taking the crop off.
The big one at the back is 30 years old, the other 2 are 50 years old.

Apparently he got 59 tonne of oats out of the 17 hectare paddock I sowed earlier in the year, his best yield, I'll take that.

In the 50s I grew up with a TEA 20. At 10 yo I was taking it out alone, particularly picking up sawn firewood blocks on a slide. Neighbour had a kero powered one, petrol start. Incidently we also had a Dodge (1948) truck which I also drove. Remember driving it between rows of corn (middle row pulled out) while rest of family picked cobs and filled the truck.
Have seen scale model of a grey Fergy in London Science Museum, unfortunately rear wheel treads we’re going in the wrong direction. Also saw and sat on one of Harry’s first tractors in Belfast folk museum, painted all black and apparently I think with a David Brown engine. Sorry if this is all a bit boring but, invention of the 3 point linkage is often attributed to Harry F. Rather he invented and developed the draft control feature of his 3 point linkage system.
I think that what is recognised as the best historical collection of his machines is on the Isle of Wight (possibly SIC). Lastly Harry F is credited with making the first powered flight in Ireland in a plane he built himself.

A bit before New Holland roKWiz. She’s a 1977 build and I’m pretty sure they’re a Ford 6.6 diesel. American built the 8700 & 9700’s where the 7700’s and smaller were built in the UK iirc.

New Holland has deep roots and a lot of history in the agricultural industry. The company was founded in New Holland, Pennsylvania in 1895. In 1986, Ford officially acquired the company and formed Ford New Holland Inc. New Holland had been building naturally aspirated 6.6L and 7.8L diesel engines since the 1960’s.

Following the Ford-New Holland brand, they continued building these engines but adapted them to be turbodiesels. The engines were built at New Holland facilities in Brazil – hence the Ford Brazilian diesel nickname.
