Hmmm thats interesting actually.

These are the exact cars I was mentioning in my previous post.

These things are sold under the "Equus" badge in Korea. Equus is the luxuary arm of Hyundai.

Hmmm it seems they are actually re-badged Mitsu's! But these things are very big, Easily Falcadore size or greater.

The link also shows the limo version.

"Samsung" also sells cars in Korea, they are re-badged Nissan's. The Maxima is the SM7, then there is a mid sizer that is not sold here called the SM5.

The SM5 is actually just a Maxima that is 15% smaller... looks pretty good and would sell well here.

I dunno Holdens are practically made in China now and people still seem to lap up them.

All a Chinese manufacturer would have to do is put a Kangaroo or something on the badge to make it appear Australian, sacrifice handling to make it really light by by having Lego sprung rear suspension or something and put a Nissan engine in it and you would have a "true Aussie car".

Holden would have all it's sales taken overnight lol

If they built an XR8 in China it would only weigh 1000kg cause Chinese cars are made from tinfoil, and would be throwaway after 2 years if you haven't already been killed in a 20 kph fender bender in it cause they are deathtraps. Thats if it hasn't already snapped in half when you pressed the throttle.

This is funny as it makes me think of a brand new car after you press the
throttle the whole panel is gone and you are left with just the bare shell
pretty much the same as a go cart...

Prices are a bit steep:

RRP Proudia 4.5L V8 = JPY6,400,000 = $65,300

RRP Dignity 4.5L V8 = JPY9,990,000 = $102,000

I wonder what they would be worth net of Japanese taxes?
