Just a reminder that the 2nd episode is on tonight, 8pm, on Fox8. Drags tonight! 1/4 & 1/2 mile I think.

My money is on the Torana.
RX7 could go alright as well - if he's sorted out his clutch.

Ha Ha - I picked the double....
Thought both the Corvette & the Ford could have done a lot better. The Corvette guy drove like a pussy & The Ford driver was more interested in putting on a smoke show.
The smartest driver appears to be the Torana owner. Be interesting to see how he goes if some cornering comes into play.

The Falcon reached the rev limiter just past the 1/4 because its set-up as a drag car and to hit peak RPM at 400m's.. so it wasnt going any faster for the last 1/4 mile.

Yep, both the Ford & the Torana were set up for the 400 dash. You could hear both of them hitting the rev limiter over the last half of the course.
The Torana driver got his power down to the ground in a better way & ended up with a win.
I think the Ford will win the smoke show section & it certainly sounds the best.

Agreed, wasted half the time repeating crap from last week. I would prefer to see a bit more about the cars themselves. Maybe get the owner/s to give us a DETAILED step by step talk about the things they have done to their particular vehicle (not just the cursory description from episode 1).

The show is great, but I wish they stretched it to a hour.

1/2 an hour seems too compacted.

The show is soooo frustrating. Surely they could have found some blokes with good cars and who CAN drive. Didn't see episode #1 but #2 was just terrible. Apart from the Torry, the rest were just laughable. Some real tough cars but I'd really just prefer to see Luff pedal them for 6 weeks.

i just finished watching ep1 and am watching ep2 tommorow

i think the issue is..
they all have cheap crap rubber on them..

with 500hp or what ever most of them are pumping out..
im sure they were more worried about payin the fuel bill rather than paying for good rubber eh..

and that XY has cheese cutters anyway

the rest of the cars just sort of slid around when luff drove them around the DECA skid pan

and it wasnt even wet
no smoke OR traction..

the number 1 spot got given to the VL brock in Ep1 which was which ever car Ian Luff thought had the best overall drivability (steering, acceleration, traction and braking)

Liked the show , but could not help thinking they tried to make it into some kind of crap show , like "The Island" , or some other sort of crap reality show.

What,s next , are we going to start voting them out or some dumbass stuff like that ?
Hope not.

I thought this week's show was the worst yet. They showed stuff all of the actual sprint.

I don't get the driving school for next week. I thought it was to see who has the best performer????

Instead they'll be driving a Fairlane, and some Daewoo (?).

Just watched 3rd episode yes its gettin a bit lame isnt it . That course was so simple n only one of them got the idea of the challenge .Yes what they showed of the burnouts looked good but theres a time n a place i bet the producers are wishing they looked at the heads on the drivers shoulders a bit more than just the cars cos theres a hell of a lot of good cars they could have got that could have had drivers that seem to be brain dead .Tonight was the worst yet with little action i only hope it gets better from here???????????????????
