HAHA! As if they'd put down their Krispy Kremes to do that! Unfortunately, that sort of 'serve and protect' exists only in the movies. He got the car back, they think their job is done...

given what was stolen from my room, + the fact that some of those items were found in a bag in my front yard (after sifting though the bag i'd assume...) i'm certain that it was just a case of being unlucky + opportunism that my screen door was unlocked.. could have easily been the Commodore Exec in the driveway next door...

No known enemies, or any reason for there to be one... and surely if a calculated vehicle theft, then they would have been there for the car, and not strange items from a bedroom (leather belt + some other odd stuff!) Then rather than joyride, surely it would have been hide n strip of parts...

This guy / guys were probably druggies.... that obviously couldn't handle 300rwkw... and wasted my years of effort, passion, money, and care (19kms!)

I'm waiting for the car to be released so i can tow to panel shop for assessment, i'm insured with Shannons (Agreed Value) so that side of things should be fine...

Have been training in Martial arts since last year to keep fit and toughen up... and at 6ft 4" / 105kgs i wish i had a chance to meet this weedy, drug ridden loser in my bedroom, and given him the best serving i could muster... now all i can hope for is that the cops find him... Mind you, the cop that found my car (hell of a nice guy) said on the night that if they caught him, they'd leave him with me for 5 or 10 minutes to have some fun..! However, the sniffer dog couldn't trace anything...

Enough for now...

Thanks again for the well wishes...! Please be careful out there guys!

Mate I feel your pain, I had the same thing happen to me back in 1990, I'd spent 5 years and $14k customising an XD sedan into an XF lookalike, it was in very nice (almost showcar) condition and some lowlife stole it from Jupiters Casino, stripped it bear and dumped it in a quarry. It just makes you cry when these things happen. I'm hoping you find the people responsible and get some sort of closure for yourself. :togo:

Funny you should say that, when I came to work on Monday I noticed a very long burnout around the corner from work and judging by the photos the car was found in the driveway of Trudie Fishers' clothing store on Ferry Rd, (our workshop is directly across the road) so you could be right unfortunately.

My condolences,

Big AL
