Yet I find it unwatchable.

I've tried and tried. Tif comes off as someone you wouldn't want your kids within 50 meters of, the two fat presenters are completely uninteresting and I spend more time watching that broads mouth move in really weird positions that listening to what she's saying.

TG isn't a car review show - it's never been a car review show, it's a car entertainment show, a show you could sit down with the missus and she won't relentlessly bust your balls to change the channel. Scan the crowd of TG-UK and see how many women are there. They're there because it's entertaining to watch not because they're giving serious reviews about cars they'll never get to drive.

Seeing a car go sideways around a corner with smoke bellowing off the tyres... EVERY SINGLE WEEK... is not entertaining...!!! Not for me anyway!!!

I can do that in my own car and experience it and be far more entertained doing it for it real!!!

Seeing a race between a car and rock climber... well ... that's just plain stupid!!!!

If I want to be ENTERTAINED, I can get my motorcross bike and be entertained... But what I really want in a car show is information... Ch9' car show is not what I am after, because if the presenter doesn't know what he is talking about, how am I ever going to know.

5th gear comes close.

Let's face it.. Tiff can drive.... and know's how a good car should drive... every single episode doesn't consist of a supercar.. it tests cars that you and I drive. I love supercars... but give me a break!!!

TGUK "was" a great show... I do like the "upbeat" and "fun" side of it, but at the end of the day if I want comedy, I can get it with a really good movie.

5th gear is great to have a women's perspective on cars also with a women presenter.

By way... is it too much to ask to have show just for the guys... I don't want to watch an entertaining show about fashion or make-up!!!!

Why do you want to involve the mrs???... it's only 1 hour of the week!!!

And don't say she loves it.. she is being nice and sitting down with you... Put it this way... I bet your NOT buying her the "best of TG" for Christmas... ARE YOU!!

And don't get all upset because I bagged out your favourite show!!! You have needs, I have needs!!!!

I think it got better as it went along... im starting to like the hosts?
I didnt really like the first few episodes- But to be fair i think i was comparing it to the original too much!
But Top gear the british one the first 3 seasons arnt that flash either....
The ford vs holden battles were great and more fitting for an Australian top gear!
And charlie was right on the money- support the Australian motor industry.
Buy a Ford or even a Holden- no more imports! The number of manufactures selling cars in Australia is no longer healthy for competition...... It's ridiculous! ;)

Geez, you're the one that seems up in arms about it... if you have no interest in watching TG-UK, I won't lose any sleep over it.

However, I'm sure if the women were naked in that fashion show, you'd be right beside your missus on the lounge, shandy in hand.

I know Top Gear ia franchise type business... but what makes Top Gear UK so great is the people, not the product. TGUK is actually pretty lame for a car reveiw show. I can't remember the last time they popped the bonnet on a car for us to have a look. And the pathetic games they play...!!!??? I may as wel watch myth busters... BUT.... Jeremy, Hammond and May make it very entertaining.

Now back to TGAustralia... Same poor reviews... same pathetic games... with some very poor presenters... that is not a great mix for a CAR REVIEW show!!!

I want to see real reviews, with shots of the interior, engine bay, dash board, options available, brakes on offer, price, etc etc...

Get Austar and watch 5th gear... very more informative!!!
You don't like watching 5th gear... you just like watching Vicki Butler-Henderson!

I have to admit im not the biggest fan of this show, really dont like the hosts!,and how they are meant to be like our versions of the fab 3 lol!, would have been alot better if they were nothing like Hammond, May, and Clarkson!, but apart from that its an alright show and ill watch again

Hated the complete show.
They copied the original to an extent where even the live crowed wasnt impressed!
Warren needs to calm down, and find his own niche.
The jokes were deplorable and desperate! They didnt even "technically" describe the cars. I wanted to know more about the engines and what not. Instead, they were busy trying to find little one liners that go with the cars they were demonstrating!

Hope it doesnt come back next year. TGUK should be here to stay!
Id rather watch Tiff Needle ramble on from 5th Gear, then watch these three twats crack jokes.

One thing i did find ammusing, was on the final episode. During their "what were they thinking" segment. They joked about TGUK giving them the rights to create a TGAU lol.
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING indeed!!

OK.. I will say it.

I dont like TGuk much, and this lacked the one thing that has going for it. The 3 hosts.
I found they shouted a lot on TGau. Also they treated the viewers like idiots.

I would like it more if the car reviews had more factsande depth - meatier. less silliness and pointless quests etc.

Still you cant please everyone. I see in the TG threads that some people was call a segment like Astra-golf the only thing worth watching in one ep, and other say it was the worst part.

Painful to watch. I've managed to endure about a quarter of an hour of three shows and I had to turn over. I'd rather have a rose bush pulled out of my ***. It would be ok if they followed the same format using Australian know vehicles, but the actors should stop over doing it and stop trying to be people they are not.

You ARE a woman aren't you?

As for your comment on wanting to see cars that you or I buy being reviewed, buy Wheels magazine. I want to see supercars that I will never ever see let alone own getting the absolute balls flogged off them.

Go back to your West Coast Coolers mate.

I agree with you there, Even the Top Gear mag is lacking in alot of pictures of the car, infact even a few i've noticed dont even have an engine bay photo.. kinda off since you buy them for the car porn right? theres a few too many "Glam" shots of the guy driving the car(IE look at the 300C SRT article a few issues back - the biggest photo was the journalist eating food with the Hooters girls!)

I love the top gear show but i'd like to see a bit more of the actual car itself then just the cars drifting and doing burnouts..

Watch top gear uk, how manytimes do you see them actually lift the bonnet and show you whats under there?
Its a entertainment show, with a motoring flavor, not a car review show. I mean look at last nights show, the challenge was to buy cars under a 1000 pounds and make them into cop cars, not really a motor review, the other story was how far supercars will go on a gallon of fuel before they ran out, again not really a motoring review, its entertainment with a motoring flavour
Aceept that is what TopGear UK is, and what Top Gear Aust is attempting to do

As I said before, if you want to know how many jiggers it gets to the arms-length, whether or not that is real teak panelling or how many dolphins agree that it is saving the environment, get Wheels. I want to see burnouts.

And lots of them.

I downloaded the season, and watched them back to back over a couple of days and there is good improvement from episode to episode. The chemistery between the presenters is starting to come, nobody really expected it to be there from Ep1 did they???
However they at times still feel like they are reading from the script than giving us their opinion (I know its always going to be scripted to some degree, its their delivery they need to work on).

The Star in a bog-standard car isnt too bad, I quite like it, the 'celebrities' are getting better - it took a while to get some V8 drivers on their though?!?!
Agreed that the track needs changing though, it can be quite boring to watch as there is no 'Gambon' style corner. The UK track also has an exciting finish line... coming of Gambon you never now how the 'star' is going to bring it through - on two wheels ala Gambon himself or launching it over the grass rise... thats a finish to watch!!!

Dont mind the challenges they have had so far, although thought the first one with the mini moke was shithouse.

Oh and I like that they said shithouse and poofteenth on air too!

I was glad to watch the ORIGINAL on Monday night... it was a bit of a breath of fresh air....
The bigger budget, and the formula that works...

I think the Australian Version was good.... but not great....
Though it is hard to do a show in the exact same format, without lookin too 'try hard' and too original....

I think that season one was a good little test of the water, and I think that season 2 will be better....

But like I said, was great to see the british version back.... they just push the envelope a little further.... and the cars are a little bit higher class...

If only I understood the pommy jokes and references.... then it would be the best!! ahhaha

P.S.
On a negative note...
I think that Warren should put a photo of Australian Top Gear 'WHAT WERE THEY THINKING' on the WHAT WERE THEY THINKING wall...
That segment is shite. Nuff said

They did do that, I think it was in the second last episode.

I actually found this first episode of the latest UK Top Gear not very good. The supercar test with one gallon of petrol was interesting and the cop car stuff was sometimes funny but the rest of it wasn't as entertaining as it has been. I found Clarkson's Ferrari review really boring and the episode seemed to be centered around him far too much this time.
