The rear looks like a Mazda 6 MPS.
For the first time in a long while, I think the American style of this car (with no upper grill) looks way better. *EDIT* I went looking for a pic of this style, but it seems I may have been fooled by a photoshop on the Chevy SS. I can't seem to find the pic that I saw. Last edited by MAD; 08-05-2013 at 01:21 PM. |

In a Roman nose kind of way LOL. And maybe, just maybe, the 26 inch rims are a little over the top?

I am surprised. I thought the last HSV range were a bit untasteful, this new one is so much worse. It's so bad that it looks like a Camry-like whitegoods car with a bodykit.

Pretty sure that grill design has been around since the VP days, over twenty years now.

I like the looks of the VF commodore sedan but HSV has made this look horrible.

Holden/HSV may be onto something here. I imagine the designers, engineers, marketeers, and higher-ups sitting around, wondering how they can sell their V8 sedans when the general public just want to buy Mazda 3's with lots of features. Then some Mexican kid pops up out of nowhere and chimes in with "why can't we sell both?" The board room goes wild. The kid goes home. Then GMH takes the key ingredients and styling elements from a Mazda 3, rolls them together with some home-grown prime Australian VE beef with a dash of supercharger sauce and Bam! The VF was born. Pure genius. Australian style. |

I like it better than the E3 but it's rather boring to me. It looks fine but I HSV wanna hope the motor is worth the $100k price because I don't think the looks are going to sell it.

You guys need to check out the comments on the justcommodore forum. People are even saying they are going to cancel their orders. Not many over the other side are fans at all

As uninspiring as this new release may be......it's still a far sight better looking than its Susan Boyle inspired predecessor. |

I was so sure the new VF GTS would be like the E1 VE GTS, which I still think is a very good looking car, and to be honest, in many ways even the E2 and E3 HSVs looked better than this!
IT's got a brilliant engine, but that styling is completely disappointing. If I wanted a HSV I'd choose a VE1 GTS in that awesome metallic purple and put the engine from this into it! I was hoping to like the new GTS for its power and speed, and hoped it'd look as good as the first VE's did back in 2006! Looks like they forgot about the styling. |
