Actually Ford as a company seems to be failing in all area's.

But that's the thing - Ford aren't failing at all. Think GFC and what transpired. Ford was the only one of the big 3 that didn't fail.

Saw a VF Calais on the road today and it looks pretty bland really. Nothing to be excited about. At least the VE looked fresh at the time. VF looks old already.

The old saying about "there's no athiests in foxholes" can be modified to apply to what's going on with our car industry.
It is perfectly possible to be a die hard Ford man, but at the same time secretly congratulate the Commodore for still being built here and getting a foot in the door with export markets. Nothing wrong with that at all.

One old friend has fallen, but another is still, for the moment, going strong. At least give him a bit of a grudging cheer now and then.

On the road I doubt the average person will give the VF a second glance, I have seen 2 and to be honest if it wasn't for the DRL's I doubt I would have noticed either.

i was beside a VF GTS, the 430 badge is small, the red supercharged is ok.
couldn't see the LSA logo anywhere though.

Yep sold me on the new Holden. Will be trading the Gt in cause the I will to end up with movie star looks and the ability to actually park correctly. I wonder if they come with a massive appendage, they seem to have all other bases covered. Nah will keep the ford and remember what it is actually like to control the car

I think they're talking about VN's and VS's, they are always doing a skid or have stupid mods, turns my head everytime, followed by a shake of my head.

Went in and had a look at a new Calais V and SSV and man they are very nice. They should be advertising it and people should buy it because it is the best car ever made in Australia. The styling is very well done with the rear end/ Tail lights being very conservative and not so out there looking in real life. The interior is very BMW/Mercedes in the quality of materials used with several different finishes used to lift the interior ambience. Cant think of 1 reason why people wouldn't buy one.

They were pushing the full-length version of the ad during the State of Origin last night.

I watched it in a local cinema and one time it aired, someone in the crowd yelled out "No one wants a Commodore!" As funny as I thought it was, if it was a Ford ad, several people would've shouted bad things.
