Still puzzled how DJRs got to 600kW??????
- What diff bushes do standard GT-Fs use?? - Someone mentioned the ZF, can it cope?? Very curious situation, and would be keen to see dyno sheets! Not doubting the grunt is there, just interested how it could be streetable (esp in summer) and how long the driveline can take that sort of curry....

All those bits can be reinforced. Looks to be intercooled to me too.

I assume it would be 450rwkw-480rwkw and an estimated 600kw at the crank. Thats around the figure guys are getting with the off the shelf parts like cooler, pulley, injectors etc.

Or maybe DJ just put it on the HSV dyno calibrated to guarantee an extra 100kW at the fly.

Saw this in Queanbeyan today as well, it was part of a big breath testing pit lane.
It was parked after the cut out lane, just in case I suppose. Looked great.

I wonder if they are going to put it on duties on the Kings Highway. Plenty of $$$ to be made there. It might be one fine a motorist would find some positive in

"Nice bloke"
Please never refer to any police officer as a "nice bloke" ever again. |

They also had the police HSV GTS alongside too. Plod said they are here for the annual Queanbeyan Show which is on this weekend, they'll have both cars on display.

Quite ironic I see this GTF police car today as it was only this morning I had a blue/white stripe GTF 014 follow me out of my street at 6:30am this morning. Was a very good day indeed!

And they are always a good 50-100m ahead of the SSs too when heading out to an accident.

Couldn't believe my luck coming home from Bathurst - came up behind it, then sat in the left lane next to it for about 20kms!! First and last FG GTs....
It was exactly on the speed limit, so that's where my cruise control had to be! Special, but wasn't about to film it on the phone!!

Hmmm, I'd be prepared to bet money that all of the tune was done by Herrod's but I could be wrong.
I can tell you that it was sent to me by Hammo at Sinclair Ford and I arranged with John for them to pick it up from my Pre Delivery Department and take it to Herrod's where it stayed until they sent it back up to Sydney. I'm not seeing the need for two different engine tuners to be involved...pretty sure it was all Robbie. |

Followed both the HSV and FPV NSW highway patrol cars today on Sutton road out of Queanbeyan and onto the Federal Highway.
They were only sitting on 110 which I thought was a little slow so I passed them. Bit intimidating having both of them sitting in the rear vision mirror for quite a few kms. Part of me wanted to floor it and see who'd catch me first, I was in a Kia Cerato at the time... :

From lastest Motor magazine -
The car was passed over to Herrod, who went to town on the 5.0 litre supercharged V8, lifting power to 600kw "There's a bigger blower, from 1.9 to 2.3 litres, rods and pistons, bigger fuel system, a different input shaft in the auto, different bushes in the rear end" Herrod explains.

That's all well and good to see it getting the attention it was intended to and have people thinking about policing again but what really gives me the irrates is that they have got one of the last limited edition Falcon GT and modified the crap out of it to be used as a government vehicle. That has me seeing red as there would be plenty of ford lovers that would sacrifice a limb to own a Limited edition GTF. People who would devote their spare time to maintain, admire and enjoy something that will go down in Australian motoring history but now it's just a work vehicle, yeah the coppers who drive it might get a bit of a thrill at work but would have it been much different if they used a standard GT falcon that wasn't limited edition instead of taking one of the limited Edition falcons that was "Made for the Fans" from FPV themselves. I don't care about the money spent on it. Taxpayer money is used and abused in every way that worrying about that is pointless, but taking a piece of motoring history and modifying it so now no-one will be able to appreciate it for what it was meant to be really boils me over...

Have to agree, ZedTee, they could have bought a 2013-plated GT on special for $62,500 (or GTP, with Premo brakes for a few grand more) and ended up with the same result.
FWIW, thought the same about HWP150 using a real RSpec.......unnecessary! By the time the graphics and slogans are added, all that matters is that it's an FPV product, and looks a bit special. DFB FGXR6; i think it's more about butchering 1 of 500 vehicles that were meant for real fans. The ones currently available on CarSales/Carpoint/eBay are a grab-for-cash by wan#ers, and are a far cry from the original circa-80k rrp.

In breaking news, not to be out done HSV have released a 1000hp model police car that when put on the dyno still didn't have the same rwkw as the GT
