My comments are justified. Just ask half the forum owners that own a DCT focus? I dont hate the focus, I dont own one but have spoken to many a customer who have. Lots on this forums that reckon the Focus is a dud. But i do realise its a ford forums and you have you be careful to call a car as it is if its a Ford.

This is a ford forum....were all pretty aware of focus and fiestas pros and cons. I still remember you bagging me for cross shopping a G6ET,Ranger and Terri, saying people don't do that (but I did) You then didn't believe I was quoted a 3mnth wait for the ranger I wanted and swore u could get anyone any ranger they wanted within a week. Didn't see one post of yours in the RANGER section of the forums helping out the pile of guys waiting and worried about their massive delivery times. So forgive me if I'm hesitant to respect your comments ATM! |

When you look at it carefully some brands can actually do really badly in the "Industry Average"Chrysler/Dodge/Ram and some really stand out like the Mazda, Mitsubishi or Mercedes as they are true stand alone manufacturers. |

Russ, you state that the Dualis is down 75% compared to last year. Since the Dualis was discontinued last year, this is pretty much irrelevant.

Main reason for i30 jump was $19990 driveway price with automatic included. As far as I know Corolla does not have stop start technology .

Ford may as well shut up shop now..Fords small cars are dead to buyers. Ford need a total rethink..advertising, pricing and go back to torque convertor auto..If Holden can get Barina to sell . why cann't Ford get Fiesta to sell??????All road reports on new ,Mondeo have it let down by steering and suspension, which seems strange..???? sad to see how far Ford has fallen...

Latest Wheels says the Mondeo steers and handles as good as a 3 series with M-suspension...

All reports? I don't know which ones you're reading, but the ones I've read suggests that, while they have lost some of the edge of the previous generation Mondeo (perhaps attributable to the switch to electric power steering), they remain a decent steer and far better than most others except the Mazda 6, but the Mondeo rides better and is more refined than the 6.

Wheels? No way man, you gotta be mistaken. Aren't they that biased magazine? You know where Ford is hated...

Back in Ford's heyday they could rebadge Kia's as Ford Festivas and move a fair few units. Now Ford as a brand is about as prestigious as a cuss word. And yes, the Ford dealer network and corporate culture have a lot to answer for. But Product Development are definitely not short of skills or talent, as evidenced in what they were able to produce locally and for international projects.

I drive a '7 seater for midgets' and would NOT have got the Terry if it was identical in all areas bar size as my other half doesn't like big / wide cars. Even if it were cheaper... Don't care. Luggage space? Driving experience? Meh. Value for money, warranty and gadgets is what I (and most buyers I believe) wanted. My wife drives a Mirage and all the BS people pumped into her when she was pregnant was a joke. You must get a bigger car, you will need the space, you can't fit all the stuff you need etc etc etc. Apparently even a Camry or i45 is too small for some people. How oh how do Europeans get around in a Corolla as the ideal family car? Well, the pram fits in the boot with space for her baby bag and shopping goes in the back seat. Or the pram goes in the back seat and the boot becomes empty. In some cases, less is more...

Having driven both the BMW and Mondeo I can only laugh. When my sister recently decided to trade her Cruze on a bigger car I did a little bit of review searching and I’d say the bulk of reviews disagreed with Wheel’s well known even handed right on the money assessments. Not that she cares how a car handles, her first priority is looks and what colours they're available in. She bought a Trend. Motoring said: If you wanted evidence of why people like rear-wheel drive, Mondeo is exhibit A. Drive experience is antiseptic by Ford’s standards. http://www.motoring.com.au/reviews/2...5-review-50428 CarsGuide said: The Mondeo feels sure-footed in corners and supple over most bumps, although not best in class based on our preview drive. http://www.carsguide.com.au/car-revi...6#.VZnnzsIw9hE Caradvice said: Overly light and uncommunicative steering. It’s not quite as sharp as the old car though. The new electric steering is direct and quick, but devoid of feel and feedback and a little too reluctant to load up beyond the realms of urban twirling. http://www.caradvice.com.au/347430/2...tch-and-wagon/ Drive said: Both models drive the front wheels with a minimum of fuss, helped by an electric power steering system that counteracts torque steer and other distractions, such as vibrations from an imbalanced wheel or jagged road edges. The system retains an impressive level of clarity to a driver's fingertips, trading perhaps the finest points of steering feel for refinement in a compromise many owners will be happy to meet. http://www.drive.com.au/motor-review...18-1milx6.html Wheels said: (I couldn’t see any reference to it being in the league of a Series 3 with M tuned suspension) And boy does it handle. The cohesion of the Mondeo’s dynamic abilities is deeply impressive. From the attitude of its body and suspension as you start to apply lock to the positivity of its front end and the corner-enhancing involvement of its excellent rear suspension, the Mondeo feels much smaller than its size and weight would suggest. Fling it down a twisty road and you’ll revel in its poise and adjustability, guided by an electric steering system that feels hydraulic most of the time. Ride quality and road-noise refinement are two other new Mondeo hallmarks. http://www.wheelsmag.com.au/reviews/...mondeo-review/ |

Large Car Segment Winners:
1.Holden Commodore (2,772 – 68.9%) 2.Toyota Aurion (563 – 14%) 3.Ford Falcon (531 – 13.2%) Would this be the first time the Aurion has out sold the falcon??

New Mondeo suffering a little because it shares everything with the Yank Fusion? We all know american's have different tastes to Europeans. I'd like to know how different they are in steering and suspension setup.
