A well modded, BA GT vs Stock FG F6, might not be as cut and dry as you think it might be. Plenty of guys keep tight lipped about what is under the bonnet, who is to say he has not thrown 10-15K or more under the bonnet of his GT, and is just playing with the OP. I know a guy who has spend north of 25K on their engine alone, and when asked will just say 'yeah, she goes Ok' Another person I know quite well told me he was building a nice mild street motor, and his first run at WSID was a 10.9

i'm the old guy at work (36) that tells the young guy (26) that my BA GT will **** all over his new WRX, only because he hasn't taken it above 3,000rpm yet as he is afraid it will blow up or use too much fuel.
Fast cars are to be driven fast* (*where appropriate) plus a stock WRX states a 5.8s 0-100 and last time i checked mine it was quicker than that but that was on a phone app

next time he waffel's on about how his 8 is soooooo much faster than your 6, pull up some stats and simply offer to dispute it at the track, and until he does he can STFU I love my V8's (older the better) but I'm not foolish enough to think the flatty in my wifes 38 could beat a modern 4cyl car much less a 6 0r 8

To the op, firstly I don't like you already! 40-50 is old? WTF?
As posted earlier take him for a drive, if that doesn't get the desired response, Drag him.

No wonder the work of handwriting experts is so highly valued from an investigational viewpoint.
One can deny penning the words but certain styles are inimitable! Poor old Thaddeus might as well have signed off his post with 'love from the big H'. Russ. |

You have to wonder...
I thought that his user name was quite thoughtful and clever given his history, however in the end it was his undoing (acknowledging the similarity of his posts too). My question is why??? What makes someone so keen / desperate to be heard / troll?

Every new forum member registration should include a short car related IQ test to weed out the Hulks. With questions relating to how to deal with old guys claiming their car is faster than yours, 0-100km times of an Aurion, etc
