What was the quote? You can have mine for $600 with 50+% rubber (2 tyres are at least 80%), plus you pay freight (under $100). They are not buckled or anything, but have a few stone chips etc - nothing a quick hit of wheel silver wouldn't fix though.

They suit the AU shape very well IMO. Wish I could get them in a 19". The BF GT-P 19" have copies in 18" and 17" too if I'm not mistaken. And they're not a flash looking rim either! Same for the BA XR rims. Wish the guys who did the copies could do a T3 rim in 19". :

Excellent link here with the history of the mag wheel ( best write up i have read on rims regarding the history and styles of rims ), also at the end of it is a huge list of well known and not so well known manafacturers , along with the website for each one ( great recource for finding a style rim you like ) ...
And no it's not my website or anything like that , so im not promoting nothing , I just found it really interesting and usefull , check it out ;) http://www.roadsters.com/wheels/

just incase anyone was curious about the rims i posted earlier .. The brand are BilletSpecialties and the patter is GTP15 , they range in size from 14" to 20" , also various widths and stud patterns to suit all cars pretty much. I did notice somewhere while reading that they are available in all the sizes from a performance wheels outlet somewhere in sydney. Centreline has a nice set too i like , im tossing between the two , this 1 is the centreline rim .. MOJAVE pattern ..

hey man, not being rude but... why did you buy 17inch rims, they are too small for the car, 18's would just pass as looking OK, but i think 19's are the way to go really.

this is all subjective-

you don't need to go 19" on an AU- 17" are fine, 18" are perfect and anything bigger is just going bigger because you want to........

19" look better on the BA's as the car is a lot fatter than the sleeker lines of the boat-tailed AU..........

I like those rims on the car- 17" will look right at home with a drop in Ride height (jeez, V8 supercars only run 17")- you don't NEED 19" to look good

How can you say "18's would just pass as looking OK"? They look perfect on the AU.......

GOOD, i didnt want to hear it, no need to get your knickers in a knot fella!

Jim, i have 18's on my AU and they are JUST right, any smaller the thing looks stupid, 19's would fill the guards out more and make it look perfect, like blue drivers and bucknakeds car.

I think anything larger than the stock 15's will look better on my AU. 18's are just too pricey for me. if i'm gonna get my new rims it'll have to be in a package deal. or else my budget will never accomodate spending millions on each rim.

Thanks for that a Silver XR with a body kit always looks horn and like wise a tuff looking T3 (I would swap the wife for a manual TE50 and I would also throw in the 2 dogs as well if it was a manual TS50) and on the talk of dropping it it would be nice but I have the mother of all traffic calming devices out the front of my place aka big mofo speed mountain and as of now if I take it a bit to quick the front touches now or if it loaded with 5 on board , a full boot or a full tank of motion lotion it scrapes as it goes over :
