Too many. Various paddock bashers and the like have been reduced to a 98 EL and 88 Prelude. Cars are money pits. Enjoyable money pits though.

some of you guys churn through cars so quick. I've only had these in the last 16 years or so:

1978 XC Falcon Sedan (what a piece of junk, gone in 9 months)
1979 XD Falcon Sedan (I miss this car so much, I regret trading it in for $500)
1992 EB Fairmont V8 Sedan (Loved it..to death unfortunatly. Great car though)
1994 EF Futura Wagon (Ahh, Kermit, the family wagon still serving us well)
1998 AU XR6 VCT (My toy....and still loving it)

I've owned four cars.
First was a 1982 XD 3.3 4 speed manual wagon, still returning to the Earth in my Mum's backyard...
Second was a 1978 HZ Kingswood 253, spent too much money on that, wish I kept it, Mum didn't want another car parked out back ;)
Third was a 1997 XH Longreach S 4.0 5 Speed, fully optioned. Loved that car, had a Son, sold it to buy
My 1998 EL Fairmont 5.0 V8. My baby.

Along the way I've had a bevy of panelvans, all company cars though.

Well I have had only two cars:
1983 Mazda 626 5 door in the marvellous colour of rust. A tree fell on it and wrote it off.
2000 AUII Wagon Forte. Loving this car.

ive had
82 mitsi lancer ex - good rwd drifter - over takes anything on the motorway unless the otehr cars try
86 ford laser ghia - mean fwd drifter/rallyer - overtakes anything cept most other cars
89 ford falcon s - 5 spd CFI LSD - its awesome - drifts hard, skids hard canes everthing

all my cars have had the *** thrashed off them
the lancer i didnt have long enuff to kill
the laser i could get to do twinspin standstills with a slipping clutch, then with a new clutch it ate the gearbox, two very nice holes in the housing
the falcon had low oil pressure when i brought it but i kept driving it
now the crank needs to be reground
i guess thats what happens when teh sump is pushed up onto the oil pickup

all good
