It just helps identify the different model since it isn't sold as an option for the base xr6
People tend to want everyone else to know that hey the one I got cost 10k more than that other one, here's the badge to prove it... Not realising that no one else cares. That said, I quite like having the ****y black turbo badge on my BF

Having 'Turbo' on a car is still a sporty kind of thing, Saab's had it, Volvo's, I think some Toyota's etc etc. They had big stickers down the sides of the cars to prove it.
So I imagine that's why the XR6 Turbo keeps the 'Turbo' badge and the G6E Turbo doesn't. |

Either way, just because one was seen with one doesn't mean that it will have it in production & vice versa I guess.

Hi Bob, I've always known the XR6 Turbo will and that the G6E won't.

You don't know jack, you just take comments from people who assume to know and then class it as fact.

It's been stated many a time that it is receiving the R-Spec setup.

In lieu of a new thread, how about this quick catch-all update of the last ~100 pages? Everything is linked, so just click on it to go right to the post or page or whatever. If I've missed something super duper important, we can edit it in later. Try to make this a reference post we just point at for future late to the party posts, until launch day!

Good summary. You only missed the bit where K&Ns give you 16rwkw on the 5 litre and that the standard air filter requires replacement at every service.

Yep, I agree. And 275 wide rears aren't wide enough. And why didn't they give us the 351 tune? And why didn't they call in the GTHO and charge $40K for it?
Sorry, now I'm just being facetious!

There is a mood in the community at the moment where some are just plain ****ed at the death of the Falcon, some are almost revelling in it as they thought it irrelevant anyway, some have a chip on their shoulder about GT-F, some are ****ed F6 didn't make it into FG-X, some are ****ed HSV are turning out GTS's in more body shapes than Magda has had, some can't sleep at nights because of the shape of the tissue holder in FG-X, some are just plain sad that a chunk of our Australian heritage is being killed off (thats me). It's a hard time to step back and smell the roses.

I think by and large the mood here is surely one of sadness people are just expressing it in different ways. My life with Falcons started with my parents family cars.
XD XF EA EF EL BA Then I got my BAMKII as my first new car when I got a real job. I had a small lapse in judgement where I bought a 4 cylinder Holden while trying to save for a house but then went back to an FG withing 1.5 years of that mistake. My history with these cars is nothing compared with some here. Looking at the FGX it'll be a great end for Falcon. Like most here I think I wish it wasn't over so we'll look at this extra critically. I think honestly I am actually most sad that there is no GT in the final model (as much as some seem to speculate there will be a final final GT).
