I don't see there being two different versions of front bars for the same models when the reason the GT was stopped was because budget wouldn't allow for a low volume FPV bumper.
I'm sure there'd be more profit for Ford charging $70k for a GT then there would be charging a couple thousand max on a small percentage of XR cars.

Yeah, im sure I stumbled across his profile when he was commenting in something. He's not the inly admin though. Not that it really matters, just puts things in perspective. And we don't have any problems with a young generation of fans :-)

On a side note for WA peeps.....I was talking to the service manager bloke at Seaview Ford....apparently stock will be farked (for their branches anyways)...he said Nuford Wangara and Seaview are linked somehow....and he believes they are only being allocated 18 cars in total (whether that is for this year/the launch or whether the entirety until 2016, I did not confirm with him) But yeah....I'm sure other bigger dealers may have slightly more stock, but perhaps the 'rumours' of 1600 units total may have some truth to it? Also apparently the Seaview/Nuford branches have sold 5 already (or written up contracts or whatever)....but just found that interesting |

This is being reported across the board, so I tend to think it's true. Dealers in every state are confirming the same thing - lack of stock on hand. I had the option of a White one only, but after calling around the network, they were able to swap that for one in Smoke, just what I was chasing. That's their first allocation done, and the second is pretty light on too.
I can't see them all being in on it just to get some sales, they would kill any brand loyalty if they were being that deceptive.

There's no sports pack. Callum, tell me who said that so I can hunt him down and slap him for being so stupid.
Or maybe he's playing you for a completely gullible fool who believes everything. Sucked you in completely. |

Yeah I thought about baiting. Then I realised the internet is a bad place haha.
Enquiry is alright so far. Only on XR8 though. We're going to run out quick with only 1200 :(

Thanks for that, didn't realise they updated their page to show more specs - no XR8 stuff though, but soon enough.

Interesting find...
Just priced a G6E turbo and it came in $4k less then the auto XR6 turbo fitted with lux pack... It use to be the other way around I am sure.

Bloody hell. The manual is terrible on fuel compared to the auto.

Manual is far easier to better the official city figures than auto is- shift as early as possible without causing drive line vibration and use minimal revs.
The official figures haven't improved for a number of models- perhaps only those fitted with low rolling resistance tyres make a gain here. |

We average low 10's for economy in our manual FGII XR6T. Not bad I think.

The Turbo and V8 continue with the older version. The EcoBoost already had it.

Here is an Excel chart of the actual fuel consumption (measured by bowser readings, not computer) of my FG XR50 manual over the first 18 months after delivery. Average consumption for daily stop start peak hour traffic in the city, and freeway combined, was 9.46 l/100km. |

Nah mate, Callum was saying he had inside info that there was a "sports pack" that included a bigger spoiler and a different front bar. It's since been confirmed by others on here that's not the case.

Don't know about you guys, but I'm very impressed with the standard equipment on the base Falcon, so pretty much it's a base cross G6?
The economy improvements is great! But why is the XR6 0.5 litres more thirsty than the new base model? Extra weight or something? |
