Here is my XB coupe I bought a few months ago. 500 with GS options, original 302, 4 speed sigle rail, scooped bonnet, driving light grill and interior. Bought drivable, currently registered and driven while undergoing a fix up. Getting twin exhausts at the moment
really need to get some good pics of it, though I've been to busy driving it and I love to drive it!

Hi guys,
Here's a quick snap of my coupe at the Shannon's Flemmington show several years ago. It's been in the shed for a while due to financial and family commitments, and so I've started pulling it apart. I'll start a build thread soon, once I get more pics... Specs: JG67 351Cleveland, C4 T-bar auto, 2.72(?)BW single spinner drums diff. Was originally 6cyl sandstone beige XB with parchment trim, will be reverted back to an XB and repainted. Got some rust in the boot to fix but not too bad. I expect it to be up for some summer cruising with my little girl in the back seat! Oh, and it runs 4-into-1 pacemaker headers and twin 2.5 inch exhausts. I had a neighbour move in and about a month after he did I started it up and I think it took him less than two seconds to 'just happen' to wander past and say G'day. Gotta love the sound of a Cleveland! |

Hi everyone
New to this forum, thought I'd say hi. Used to own a Red Pepper XB coupe (hopefully there is a picture attached!), GT look-a-like, 351, top loader, black interior. Hoping one day to get back into one - finances willing! Into all XAs and XBs, especially ones with two doors (don't get me wrong, I love the sedans too!). Some great cars on here, thanks for sharing. cheers Sean |

Correct, they are torque thrust II's. 17 x 11 on the back with 315/35 tyres, 17 x 8 on the front with 234/45 tyres. |

A more recent picture of my fairmont on a budget.
Have ditched the painted bumpers in favour of original chrome ones. Some Autodrag rims. Few nice chromey bits in the engine bay and some XA taillights. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

I own the Ford this picture makes for a nice profile comparison with a Coupe from Holdens golden years.
My Coupe is tagged 4 1974 XB The body number says it's a GS JG67 (?) its not a GT JG66 (?) Engine T Trans L Paint ? (Metallic Blue) Whoever bought it new , got them self a sweet looking & running Coupe. Over the years "Ferris" seems to have gone thru a _LOT_ of changes , this is how it looked when I bought it in 1996. I paid ~$8500 for from a caryard along the infamous Parramatta Rd. The Pro Street cold air intake was not there just to look stupid , it had a function. The 351 Cleveland had a semi precision home brewed intake manifold with a 1:1 driven GM 4/71 Blower & 750 CFM Holley on top of it. I think the car was owned by a drug dealer at one time in it's life , I found a lot more spare change & tools than you would normally expect when buying a second hand car from a used car dealer... Ferris now has XC sheet metal on the front & a Cobra style bonnet scoop to cover the much improved 4/71 supercharger setup now. JB |

Sorry about including a Holden in the previous photo. How about this self portrait of Ferris , T & me , taken in 1998 still sporting the XA front end , plenty of improvements had been made under the bonnet , C6 tranny & B&M shifter acquired , The Mechanic kindly helped me fit a ~12 liter oil sump along with a 1/4 inch thick checker plate sump guard that doubles as a frame/chassis strengthener.
Ferris was still showing all sorts of smart & incredibly stupid modifications made by the previous owners over the years that needed to be fixed or re engineered to increase performance & maintain reliability. |

To melon466 I really like what you have done with the rear seating in your XA. Carrying 5 people in any XABC Coupe with standard to even GXL trim seats makes for cramped uncomfortable transport & it gets even worse with 5 people going out for as cruise.
As far as setting up the back seating in your Coupe for 2 passengers, is it worth the effort ? Can you drive your car around with 2 adult passengers in the rear without them bitching & complaining about no leg room , can't see anything etc etc & completely spoiling the drive for the Pilot & Shotgun up front ? In NSW if you want to change the seating capacity of a car like you have you need to get an engineer's certificate , to state that the car now is only allowed to carry 4 passengers instead of the 5 passengers stamped on the cars compliance plate. I just re did the engineering certificate for my Targa Topped RX4 Coupe there's no rear seats & or belts , it's seating capacity has been dropped from 5 to 2 people. I was planning to drop the seating capacity of my coupe from 5 down to 2 as well & use the extra space in the rear for something more useful , but if the Ford Coupe can be changed into a comfortable 4 seater I'd re consider my plans. I believe that everyone at some time in their life should be able to get taken for a ride in a car that can go from a rolling start to 100MHP in ~10 seconds , something any well sorted GM blown small block powered car , like mine is able to do. thanks JB |

hey mate, the rear seats are out of a landau, and short of drilling a few holes, they bolt straight in. I got it engineered as a 4 seater, so that is all i can legally carry now. No one has been lucky enough to ride in the back yet, except my 2 nieces that are both under 10, so there were no issues with leg room etc.
